Geula-Related

Comment from Dassie on the previous post:
And recently, I was re-reading "These Children are Mine," the bio of Sarah Lederman, rescuer of Jewish children after the Shoah. Page 56 records a 1939 conversation between Sarah Lederman and her brother, Moshe Aharon, a talmid of the Chafetz Chaim. He shocked her by telling her of his plans to go to Eretz Yisrael despite his solid opposition to the secular Zionist movement."Moshe Aharon said, 'Yes, Palestine! Now is the time to go there. This war that just started will go on for six years.'[Sarah] was beside herself. 'Six years?! If the war continues that long, there will not be a single Jew left in Europe!'Moshe Aharon answered her enigmatically, 'Yes, you are so right.'....Her brother continued, 'Yes, the war will last for six years, and three years later the Jews will gain their own state....'At this point, [Sarah] could no longer listen....But Moshe Aharon hadn't finished. 'Then the Messiah will come,' he said, and named a date whose last digit was five."

(87% of Jewish day school students in the US are Orthodox.  7% rise from 15 years ago.  Imitation Judaism is disappearing.)

Rav Shteinman Miracle Story

(Rav Shteinman Shlit"a was brought a couple American boys for a Beracha by an American Avrech.  Rav Shteinman said in Yiddish that these boys did not undergo a proper Berit Milah.  The Avrech couldn't bring himself to tell this to the boys, but one of the members of Rav Shteinman's household did so.  The boys started crying, saying that indeed, a non-Jewish doctor performed a circumcision on them when they were babies, and they thought it was OK.  They subsequently underwent a Hatafat Dam Berit, and returned to Rav Shteinman to thank him.  They felt very happy that they performed this Mitzva now.  They asked Rav Shteinman how he knew, but Rav Shteinman changed the subject.)

(Rav Kanievsky Shlit"a said that Rav Shteinman definitely has Ru'ah Hakodesh, but there's no proof from the story above.  He explained that it is possible to tell this by merely looking at their faces.)

Attempted Assassination of R' Yehuda Glick

(I agree with the rabbi, but the comments with quotes otherwise are fascinating)
