Sod1820: Calculating the Geula Clock of the Gra and Where We Are Currently Standing

I want to bring before you a small idea from the Zohar on the Perasha of the week - Parshat Va'et'hanan - which connects very well to the matter of the Redemption and the timing in which we are holding.

It is important to not that the matter will be clearer to someone who recognizes the clock of the Gra - who compares the 6 days of Creation to the 6000 years [of the world] where every day of Creation is like 1000 years [based on the verse כִּי אֶלֶף שָׁנִים, בְּעֵינֶיךָ-- כְּיוֹם אֶתְמוֹל, כִּי יַעֲבֹר "For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday] when it is past", and according to the calculation, we are now in the sixth day.  In the year 5750 began 12:00 noon and in the year 5770, we reached 12:30 PM.  Every hour in the Gra's clock equals 41 years and 8 months in human years.  Every minute in the Gra's clock equals 8 months and 10 days...  It's very important to understand this clock in order to understand ideas in the Zohar very well...  So, for your information, before we enter into the Zohar, the time in Hashem's clock is 12:35 PM and very soon, the minute will change to 12:36.  Now, to get to the Zohar of the Perasha of the week - Parshat Va'et'hanan...

The Holy Zohar says, p. 270a:

And at the End of Days, HKB"H is destined to return Israel to the Holy Land and to bring them in from exile.  And what is the "End of Days"? That which is "Aharit Hayamim".  In this "Aharit Hayamim", Israel will suffer the exile.  This is meant when it says: בַּצַּר לְךָ--וּמְצָאוּךָ, כֹּל הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה; בְּאַחֲרִית, הַיָּמִים [In thy distress, when all these things are come upon thee, in the end of days] and it says: וְקָרָאת אֶתְכֶם הָרָעָה, בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים [and evil will befall you in the end of days].  Specifically, at the End of Days.  And this is "Knesset Yisrael" [YY - i.e. the Shechina] in exile.  And with this "End of Days", they accepted a punishment in exile, and with this, HKB"H will avenge Israel constantly.  This is meant when it says אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשֶׂה הָעָם הַזֶּה לְעַמְּךָ, בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים [what this people shall do to thy people in the end of days].   And in every place, this is It [the Shechina], and HKB"H is destined to return it to Its place.  That is meant when it says וְהָיָה בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים, נָכוֹן יִהְיֶה הַר בֵּית-יְהוָה בְּרֹאשׁ הֶהָרִים [And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established as the top of the mountains].

The Zohar continues:

And once the shadow begins to be made in the beginning of the next day [after the 5th millennium], it was like the time when the Beit Hamikdash was destroyed - that the shadow was stretching to be gathered, as it says: אוֹי לָנוּ כִּי-פָנָה הַיּוֹם, כִּי יִנָּטוּ צִלְלֵי-עָרֶב ['Woe unto us! for the day declineth, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out!'].  A day and a shadow is the end of the exile.  And the measurement of this shadow is 6.5 Kematzim and the size of the measurement of a man - a man among men.  And the mnemonic of this secret among the rabbis is as it says כִּי-תְמוֹל אֲנַחְנוּ, וְלֹא נֵדָע: כִּי צֵל יָמֵינוּ עֲלֵי-אָרֶץ [For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow]  For yesterday, we were in exile, and we didn't know that the shadow of our days is on the earth - that HKB"H wants to keep us [this measurement of time - a day and a shadow] on the earth.

From these words, we can understand that the end of exile will be when the shadow of that day - the shadow of the sixth day - will occur.  As is known, before the invention of sophisticated clocks, time measurement was performed via the sun - in a way that they could know what time it is according to the shadow.  Then, the Zohar says - when it's talking about the hour in which this shadow will occur - 6.5 Kematzim and the size of the measurement of a man - a man among men.  [This means:] 6.5 Kematzim are 6.5 hours from the morning of the day.  In other words, 12:30.  And the size of the measurement of man - a man among men means that after 12:30, we must wait a little more time, just as an average man says: "Just a second" and then, we wait about 5 minutes, so too with the Redemption.  And with Hashem's help, now at 12:35-12:36, Mashiah will come.
