"And the Gavlan will be Desolate"

Sotah 49b, referring to the time of the "Footsteps of Mashiah", provides the signs for the times.  Here's one of them:

והגבלן ישום

And the Gavlan will be desolate

R' Dov Bar Leib, in a post from almost 20 years ago, believes that the Gavlan refers to the Hizballah-infested town of Bint Jbeil, Lebanon.

Reports coming out of news sites, like Kikar and an Arabic-language site show the destruction of the center of town by Tzahal.

Wikipedia, in the entry for April 14th, writes:

The town center was visibly in ruins from satellite images.
