Obama, Marriage, and Noah's Flood

The views of the President of the United State have "evolved".  He now supports a man "marrying" another man. Well, I'll tell you what has not evolved - the Torah (see the Rambam's 9th principle of faith).  According to the Torah, the act involved in these unions was, is, and always will be - an abomination.

Not only that, but the Midrash tells us that what caused the Generation of the Flood to become wiped off the earth was the fact that they started writing marriage contracts for males and animals.  (See also Hulin 92a-b.)

In the writings of Rav Tzadok Hakohen of Lublin, he writes in a couple places that those in the Generation of Mashiah have the same souls as those in the Generation of the Flood.  Our task, therefore, is to rectify the sins of the Generation of the Flood - and specifically sins that are connected to the Berit Milah.

The Agudah put out a statement explaining that the President's views are not consistent with those of Judaism, regardless of how others may try to spin our religion to match their liberal viewpoints.

May Hashem save us from any Pur'anut that may arise from this.

You just know that I have to ask you, because the links to the males/ animals is in hebrew so...Did you mean that in the generation of the mabul that they were giving certificates of "marriage" for males and animals to be together or animals with animals and males with males?

What you have to realize is that just a few years ago, less than ten years ago, over 2/3rds of Americans at least publicly disdained giving marriage or civil union contracts to mishkav zachar. Now the numbers that say they are against it is near 40%. Face it America is not the country that you grew up in 40 or 50 years ago. You will have to decide if it is safe having these new Americans as your neighbors in what was at one time the greatest gentile country in human history. There are pockets of moral sanity left in America, but by and large those pockets for the most part are not where the vast majority of American Jews live. So unless you are willing to pack up and move to Dallas or Memphis, what is a Shomer Mitzvot Jew to do? Can you live in a city where the Erev Rav Mayor lovingly pronounces couples to be man and husband??

Thank you for answering my question about the animal with animal or male with male- humans with animals etc...
It is unfathomable to think that there is that much perversion, yet it did and unfortunately exists....

Dov, how many times you were wrong saying things that did not happened, I 99.9% sure that you are wrong again. In your blog you did teshuva, because you professed dates, and here again you are saying that we have to get out quickly. You are saying things based on your logic which is totally unacceptable. In my opinion Rome will totally collapse at the final stage when Moshiah will come B'H" very soon, by that time we, Jews, will be IN EY where Moshiah Tsidkeinu will bring us, not you, not others..., then it is going to be punishment, not now where talmidei hahamin learns Torah here leshem Shammaim, so please stop your "prophecy" and don't tell us when and where to move. Trust me, you don't nothing in what are you saying.

You are wrong on every count Anon.

1. No where above did I give a date. So you should get out immediately. The people murdered in Toulouse, France were also Talmidei Chachamim. Learning Torah did not protect them from murderous gentile rage. And there is no reason to assume that it will protect the Jews of America any more than it did the Jews of France.

2. Mashiach ben Ephraim comes before Mashiach ben David in order to subdue Western Civilization and to annihilate Amalek. Yet only ben David is heralded by Eliyahu HaNavi. This part might not happen right away, or it may happen very quickly. Mashiach ben Ephraim comes to do his work in a very hidden way, out of tzafun, and is likely associated with the fact that there will very very soon be 6 million Jews in Eretz Yisrael. So as the pillars of Western Civilization are being brought to heel and Amalek is being destroyed, do you want to be living in their midst? Or do you want to be in the safest place possible. Again notice that I have given no dates, but it is likely imminent. So what are you wasting your time for amongst a population that approves of granting contacts of marriage and civil unions to mishkav zachar when you could be learning Torah in Eretz Yisrael or at least in some place where the goyim and the secular Jews have not yet entered the spiritual sewer? If you want to remain and sacrifice what could be your life or your possessions in a dangerous situation, this is your business. Far from me to make your decisions. But as far as trying to get me to shut up because of things that you find unacceptable, you are barking up the wrong tree.

1.These are special neshamot were destined to niftar and not because Torah did not protect them.
2. what tsafun you are talking about? there is an opinion that Moshiah ben Yosef were here and it is time for Moshiah ben David to come. We are praying for Moshiah ben David and we have kavana for Moshiah ben Yosef not to die. You are mixing a chollunt based on your logic not hohma.

Because you seek to denigrate the message by denigrating the messenger, you deserve a sharp rebuke:

Yes, but you pompously quoted no sources to prove your contention that Ir HaKodesh NYCity is any more immune to a large scale terror attack than Toulouse or Mumbai. You might say well my Rebbe told me that we will be ok, and then I could say that my Rebbe told me that you should hightail it out of New York if you can. Plus, What are his sources that you should remain in NYCity when your state, NY State, blatantly spits in G-d's face by not only recognizing existing homosexual marriages, but actually going out and giving legally binding contracts recognizing such marriages and civil unions. By the way this last thing will never happen in Eretz Yisrael because only the religious authorities here can marry couples, and with the Geulah around the corner, the Reform and the Masoreti simply do not have time to try to wrest control from the Chief Rabbinate. And it is specifically the last point that the Gemorrah points out that it is as bad as selling human flesh in the marketplace. New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Illinois among others has blatantly broken a basic covenant that even the gentiles have with G-d Almighty. Even ancient Bavel never broke that basic covenant. So in your response you have not in any way proven your contention that Jews are safe in NYCity with a mayor who persistently lies on his business website about the state of the American economy for the purpose of re-electing his favorite President Obamanation. And the mayor of Chicago considers it an honorable part of his resume' to actually perform Civil Union ceremonies between man and husband. Plus Mashiach ben Ephraim has not shown up to do the job for which he is meant to complete, the obliteration of Amalek in the world and the bringing of Edom to heel. It is Yosef who is called Sitno shel Esau not Yehudah. So Mashiach ben David will not accomplish this huge task. Only MB Ephraim can accomplish this. Perhaps ben David and ben Ephraim are one and the same, but no one really knows for sure one way or another, and the mephorshim on Zecharia 12 seem to indicate pretty strongly that they are two separate people. So if they are two separate people with two separate periods of reign, there will be a lag time of at least three years for Mashiach ben Ephraim to complete his tafkid in the world, the obliteration of Amalek and to bring Edom to heel. If this is the case living in the the midst of Edom during this interim time will be a dangerous proposition indeed. Even the Zohar says in the 73rd year, there will be a massive meteor strike on a Western (Roman) City where an international conference is set to take place. So we are talking about something imminent happening in the sphere of bringing Edom to heel in the year 5773. The main reason for my anger is that by diminishing my view vs. yours particularly by demeaning me, you could be doing something far worse than giving an exact date, where I erred. You could be placing people in a dangerous situation by telling them to stay put in a makom sakanah. G-d forbid if that puts innocent blood on your hands. This is not to say that people who cannot make Aliyah for a really good reason deserve to be in a makom sakanah, but if you can in anyway avoid being in such places, you should immediately place yourself somewhere else. So spare me the lols and other forms of Ona'at Dvarim, and get your own act in order.

answer first my question that I asked you before at Shirat Devorah blog about Tel Aviv

http://shiratdevorah.blogspot.com/2012/05/random-news.html#comment-form

and why you only talk bad and scary things for Jews in diaspora, may be you need to fill up a gap for 6 millions, that you believe then Moshiah will come? and you rushing the process thinking you are the one who will do the job. First scare american Jews, then did not work out, then you find the topic of new president of France, then set up another 60 days that Jews from France will do aliya and finally it will be 6 millions Jews. If if not will work out who are next , russian Jews or may be african?
But you believe it has to be 6 millions Jews ASAP, then Moshiah will come.

seems you like to play "prophets" games, that is why I am laughing.

OK so now that we can communicate amicably, I refer you to the reason why while every other place on the planet had to be wiped out in the Great Flood referred to in this post by Ya'ak, why didn't Eretz Yisrael deserve the same fate? Surely Eretz Yisrael was not immune to the stain of homosexual marriages in the world, or was it? For the answer a great 17th century Kabbalist named Rav Nathan Shapira explains what makes Eretz Yisrael unique compared to the other places on the globe in his classic sefer, "Tuv HaAretz". Here is one bonafide link to a Chabad review of the sefer and its author:

http://www.chabad.org/kabbalah/article_cdo/aid/378779/jewish/Tuv-Haaretz.htm

And as for the master of medrash himself, here is a Rav Pinchas Winston review of this unique kabbalistic work in a lengthy video. All your questions about how such spiritual darkness can dwell side by side with goodness and holiness are answered here and in other videos that he has done on this sefer:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3E4zcFdSOjg

There are several shi'urim about this important sefer, Tuv HaAretz, online taught by Rav Winston. I would recommend every single one of them. Let me review the immense amount of work about this sefer myself to respond more precisely. Yet, the one thing that should not prevent you from living here is the wicked nature of so many Jews living in Tel Aviv. The Hashgacha pratit here is lightyears beyond what happens in Chutz LaAretz. In he end G-d will weed out the wheat from the chaff here in EY. This process will not be so clean cut outside of EY. Here in G-d's palace, the rules of providence are very different. Those who want to make Tel Aviv an international Mecca for homosexuals will suffer a fate independent of those who live beside them who strive to be pure and holy. This is not necessarily guaranteed outside of the Land, for those lands are under the oversight of the various angels of the nations of the world. This is not the case in EY. Never confuse the hashgachah here in EY with the hashgachah in the rest of the world.

No doubt that EY is like kodesh hakodashim, I agree that everybody should make an effort to make aliya.
My concern that may be you should change your attitude not to scare us anymore and not to tell where to move. it is not up to you to decide which city to leave and where to live and it is really bothering when you scare us.
Dov, may be you share with us your story when , at what age you did aliya under which circumstances?
We like TRUE stories.

I disagree with you, because it says that Shehina went to Galut with her children and will return when the King will say to her that She can return home with Her children. We, Jews in diaspora are His children. And the Shehina will be with us.

Yes, and when Lavan's face changed, Ya'akov Avinu learned that it was time to go home to Eretz Yisrael. Take one look at Obamanation. Ask yourself. Has Lavan's face changed? If you can answer this question with an obvious answer in the affirmative, you should recognize that the Shekhina is leaving Chutz LaAretz (at least she is leaving America), and that you should follow. Yes, the Shekhina went into galut when Klal Yisrael was compelled into the lands of the nations of the world. Klal Yisrael had no choice. Hadrian had renamed Eretz Yisrael into Palestine after our bitterest ancient enemy even though that enemy had been wiped out by Senchariv 700 years prior to Hadrian naming EY in their honor!! That was a sign that we had to dwell outside EY. Today, you can come home on the wings of eagle and be here in less than twelve hours. It reminds me of the funny (not so funny) story. You know about the guy standing on the roof of the house as the flood waters are rising waiting for G-d to rescue him. A helicopter shows up and offers to take him off the roof. He screams at the chopper, "I am waiting for G-d to come and rescue me!! So you can fly somewhere else." When the flood waters end up drowning him, he ends up in Shamayim perplexed why G-d did not come and rescue him. And G-d in a booming voice says, "You don't think the helicopter was sent by me to come and rescue you? What were you expecting a Heavenly Chariot?" In short G-d has made it so easy to make Aliyah these days. Rather than the arduous journey to travel to EY at the time of the Gaon of Vilna 200 years ago, where the Gaon himself tried to do it but because of advanced age could only get as far as Germany, you can hop on a plane and be here in less than 12 hours, and still we bentch Gomel! Perhaps it is to remind us of how difficult international travel was as recently as 150 years ago. To cross the Atlantic Ocean in under 12 hours: What a pelah! And still with almost 6 million Jews here and growing when there were less that 100,000 Jews here in 1900, with an ever growing economy and growing even faster while Obamanation takes the American economy into perpetual bankruptcy, American Jews will continue to find all kinds of strange reasons to avoid living here. I am not sure if that is an even greater pelah. I realize there are genuine reasons for not being able to make Aliyah, but the vast majority of excuses that people are giving now come straight from a very ancient yetzer hara which had its origins with the Sin of the Spies. You have to be perceptive about yourself to know which is true about you. Are you simply finding an excuse to remain abroad with purple mountain majesties and amber waves of grain? Do you think that G-d will continue to bless America or Obamanation under the present set of circumstances? In the end every human being has a soul journey. Just make sure that you are making your journey for the proper reason, and be honest with yourself. Don't tell yourself little lies to confirm your petty excuses for why you should not be here. Make sure that your reason is solid and honest. The true test is, "Do you desire to be here even if you cannot because of overwhelming extenuating circumstances?" If you really desire to be here, then your reason for not being here might very well be genuine.

I don't know what are you talking about, you are making things so complex with Lavan's face changed, Shekhina is leaving Chutz LaAretz (at least she is leaving America), then you bring some numbers, you are making the life much harder and I see now that you have problems.
It is very simple, there is One G-d who said that He will gather us at the end of days, from all 4 corners but in order not to fell down He gave us Torah and Mitsvot. So should I listen you or G-d?
You don't have to be mekubal to understand that, that is pshat.
The remez is in order to make my tikun I have to eat certain food in where I am, and yours where you are. When you or I eat last piece of chicken or meat or fish then tikun is completed.
Regarding Aliya everybody decide when they can do it. I have reasons not to make aliya now, but may be soon B'H", I will explain it in the Shammaim, but why you interfere between other peoples life and G-d. You have no rights and the punishment will be strong, you will regret and I don't know if you can then will make teshuva, because you will know how many people felt because of your advise. Say good things like others do about EY, the priveledge to live there , but don't scare and force us, do you understand? I will stop here, end of discussions.
