We survived our version of a Mad Max movie in the Yerushalayim area. Cars were littered all over the Begin Expressway and the main N/S Road (Derekh Shekhem/ Derekh Chevron). It was a parking lot with abandoned cars on their own individual snow islands in the middle of the highways. Israelis have no idea how to drive in 40 (16 inches) centimeters of snow. Half the stoplights were not working in Yerushalayim. Yet when drivers would get to one of these blacked out intersections, rather than stopping to give cross traffic the right away, the drivers kept driving. Perhaps they were afraid of getting stuck on the ice even though the temperatures were above freezing at the time. I don't know. It was a sight to behold though. I think that I saw the Ba'al Kerry's motorcade, Yemach Shmo, on Yigal Yadin. I was happy to see that he was in a rush to get out of the country. It was about noon on Friday. Apparently he was karcha baDerekh, and G-d booted him out of the country.
