Rabbi Lazer Brody comes up with another great piece of news - the Gerrer Rebbe reportedly said that Mashiah will come either this year or by the end of next year.

Who is "yaak"? I'm a half-Sepharadi, half-Ashkenazi, Haredi Zionist. I hope that clears it all up. :-) I went to a Haredi elementary school, a mixed Haredi/modern high school, Haredi Yeshiva in Israel, and back to a mixed Yeshiva after that. I would say give this item a little more prominence! The Gerrer Rebbe, shlita, is one of the greatest tzaddikim in the world today.
I ran out of time when I saw it and I wanted to get it in as soon as possible, but it is quite an amazing statement.
If what I wrote was not prominent enough, then I ask Mehila from the Gerrer Rebbe.
I didn't mean that you slighted the Rebbe, chas v'shalom. I only meant that this is (in my eyes) BIG BIG NEWS on the geulah front, and deserves BIG HEADLINES.
It is now 2007 and no Moshiach. ANYONE who tries to guess when Moshiach will return is playing a loosing game. Such greats even as the Rambam and many more illustrious sages have also been mistaken. Look what this issue did to Chabad. Please turn your thoughts and efforts to something else. When Moshiach comes we will know it. Until then, well, we won't.
