Disengagement? It Aint Happenin II
I had posted earlier that Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu had said that the Disengagement is not going to happen (from this Arutz Sheva article).
Here's some more info, brought to you by Ani Maamin from Ledavid.com.
Avsha has posted an interesting post about the Hitnantkut (disengagement). First he mentioned an earlier thread dealing with the orange color representing the current resistment movement against the expulsion of Jews (summarized here on Yeranen Yaakov Blog). Then he said:
quoting Avsha:
I have learned during the Shabbat that a renowned Rav with a big community, who is very close to Rav Mordechai Eliyahu had invited all his community to a thanksgiving party and meal on the same day of that the Hitnatkut should begin!
Later the name of the Rav was revealed: Rav David Chai HaCohen, head of the "Orot-HaTorah" instutitions and a Yeshiva head in Bat-Yam, who is very close to Rav Mordechai Eliyahu. Later, he revealed that many say that there is a secret knowledge known only to few, and that knowledge is the reason for the declarations that the Hitnatnkut won't happen.
Also in that thread, a biblical code where the following is found: מצור כתום יבלום מאווי ממשל.
An earlier Hebrew thread brought confirmation to the news that Rav Mordechai Eliyahu claimed that his words about the Hitnatkut not taking place is "a prophecy". The confirmation came from Rav Ezra Scheinberg, head of "Orot-HaAri" Yeshiva in Safad, and was published in the Moria site, an orginazation that was established by Rav Mordechai Eliyahu himself.
Regarding the controversial practice of using Torah Codes to predict future events, the site from where the code information originated discusses that at length.
