It's Crunch-Time for Pollard

Only a couple days are left until Jonathan Pollard's sentence can be commuted by President Bush.

Before the plagues of blood, frogs, pestilence, and hail, Moshe Rabbeinu tells Par'oh a message from Hashem - שלח את עמי ויעבדני - "Send My people so they may serve Me".

If you take the words "את עמי", its gematria is 521.
If you take Jonathan Pollard's first name, יהונתן, its gematria is 521.

We pray to Hashem that President Bush will send away Yehonatan Pollard so that he may serve Hashem in freedom. The alternative mentioned in the Parsha doesn't end pretty.

לב מלכים ושרים ביד השם

אם לא עכשיו אימתי

Now is the time to pray.

X-Pres Bush just pardoned another couple of guys, because they 'suffered enough'!!!

Hey, Mr. Bush, don't you think Yehonasan Pollard has suffered ENOUGH?? After all the emails, phone calls to the Beit HaLavan I guess he just 'didn't get it!'

Does anyone know if there is any substance behind the allegation that 'certain Israeli politicos' DON'T want Pollard free and that's why the US doesn't comply?

A7:

Pollard Supporters Still Hope for Bush's Compassion

Reported: 00:26 AM - Jan/20/09

(IsraelNN.com) The White House Press Office said Monday that outgoing US President Bush is not expected to issue any additional pardons or clemency.

On Monday, Bush commuted the sentences of two border patrol agents who were convicted of killing a Mexican drug dealer in 2005. They will apparently be the last to benefit from Bush's pardon powers, according to the Press Office.

Lobbyists for prominent political felons are not giving up, however - and this is all the more true for those lobbying for a humanitarian release for the ideologue Jonathan Pollard, who is into his 24th year of a life sentence for passing secret information to Israel in 1985.
