Rav Shmuel Eliyahu on the Geula Situation

Rav Shmuel Eliyahu Shlit"a, the son of Rav Mordechai Eliyahu ZT"L, has written a great historical and current summary of the Geula situation in his Kol Tzofayich newsletter.  I will BE"H BL"N translate this next week.

I think that the short version should begin from the paragraph: Arab Winter/ Jewish Spring. The rest of the essay seems to be a historical analysis which has been covered before with a rather large section on the period of time between 5500 until Mincha Gedolah of the 6th Millennium which was at the end of Tamuz 5771.

The discussion about the 1335 years from Sefer Daniel is also very interesting. definitely a novel approach.

I mean Rav Shmuel Eliyahu seems to calculate from the passing of Rav Shimon Bar Yochai to the birth of The Arizal HaKodesh as being exactly 1335 years. That is a something to really think about. I will have to print this part out before Shabbat.

The Hebrew that he uses reminds me of his father's Hebrew. As you know Rav Mordechai Eliyahu, zt"l used to regularly visit Yehonatan Pollard in prison. Pollard spent many years in Marion, IL. So Rav Eliyahu regularly flew into St. Louis, and usually took direct transit from the St Louis airport to the Marion prison. Occasionally he would stop off in the Jewish community in University City to speak. I had the opportunity to listen to him give a shiur once. And his Hebrew was so clear and precise that it was difficult to not understand the clarity of his words. It seems that his son has this same talent.

Tzvi, I deleted your comment. Your computer-generated translation needs work and your conclusion that he said "moshiach must come by end Tammuz!!!" is very misleading. He never said anything of the sort.

Please leave translations to those who know how to translate. I'm not a professional, but I can mostly get the nuances of the language - especially Talmudic and halachic Hebrew - that Google cannot.
