Rosh Kollel Warns of Huge Tragedy Bringing Hevlei Mashiah This Coming Motza'ei Shabbat
UPDATED
Kikar reports as their lead story that a Rosh Kollel going by the initials S. G. said that a huge tragedy will לא עלינו occur this Motza'ei Shabbat that will bring Hevlei Mashiah. He said, though, that those who cling to Torah and Mitzvot will be saved.
According to the report, the Lithuanian Rosh Kollel, who is from the Neveh Yaakov neighborhood in Yerushalayim, said that already 2 months ago, he "saw" during his prayers that the date of 17 Iyar will be something special. He categorized it as "A big Balagan".
According to him, "The process will start specifically on this date because this is the date that the Mabul started according to Ribbi Yehoshua in the gemara. I don't know what this will be exactly," explained the Rav, "but I saw this clearly many times, and we're talking about Hevlei Mashiah Mamash." The Rav emphasized that we're talking about the final shake-up before we are going to greet the face of Mashiah Tzidkeinu and that we're not talking about a punishment, but rather, a process within Redemption.
The Rav said, "I call this 'The Redemption of the Ramhal'. I learn a lot of his writings, mainly 'Shiv'im Tikunim', and I am therefore concerned that it is a part of the total process."
According to him, the only way to be saved is to be careful with the trait of humility. "One needs to move to complete humility. And those who do not keep Shabbat should immediately keep Shabbat, Kashrut, and Taharat Hamishpaha. Grab as much as you can immediately."
In conclusion, the Rav qualifies his words a bit, and says that although he sees nothing preventing this from occurring, he adds: "Even if nothing occurs, it is forbidden for the matter to cause a weakening in faith, G-d forbid, and everyone should understand that it was my mistake.
At the moment, I don't have reservations about this. I saw this clearly for months. But if nothing happens, all should know that I erred. The mistake would be mine, not in the Redemption process, which is on its way most definitely, but I would have not explained the date properly. The Redemption process is already on its way, and this is clear."

Retarded, as usual. Him and you.

Lag B Omer ... Meron ?
These headlines seemed ominous to me today, but then so did all the stuff about N Korea.
I wondered if this were not a lead-up to launching a new war, especially with Kerry and Hagel here so much of late.

Whether or not something happens, it's still a good reminder to work on ourselves
Once again, a faceless, nameless, Rosh Kollel, making predictions that will never materialize... all this garbage does is weaken emunah. Hashem will send the redemption according to his timetable... time go back to something called life.
its forbidden to calculate exact dates ! but shivime tikkunime by ramchal is by far the most awesome sefer ive read . Its awesome .its got heavy haskamot by rav mordechai eliyahu zecher tzaddike lebracha and is a very cherished sefer . it expands on tikknie Zohar of rashbi . both have 70 sections .

This motzaei Shabbat is already the 18th of Iyar, so shouldn't it occur on Shabbat itself?
I don't understand. A certain big rabbi who shall remain anonymous said that some big (non-specific) thing will happen on this date but it may also not occur and just be his error so don't lose hope?
i think it was very humble of him to say, it would be his fault in error calulcation and not the fault of redemption. something may happen, which we may not be aware off. we always look for the explosions, wars and such. it need not be so always. remember, even prophet jonah predicted the destruction of niniveh. and this from Hashem. when the people did teshuva, Hashem withdrew the punishment. so is Hashem wrong, for showing mercy and accepting their sincere teshuva, or is jonah wrong. neither. if jonah had not warned, the people would not have done teshuva. likewise a rabbi has written in his love for his fellow jews, and in his humility that if he is wrong , the blame is at his doorstep, and there are people who cannot appreciate this??
10rainbow - i see your comments on other geula sites as well. You always, but always write so nicely. May HaShem bless you with your hearts desire and for shalom, parnasah, nachas, etc. etc. etc.
Hey this is a geulah website what do you guys expect? Its about rumors and analysis, if you don't like it don't read it..
This could be another flash point:
Arab Media Outcry as MKs Weigh Jewish Prayer on Temple Mount
This year all the dates are advanced one day since the 29th of Kislev 5773 until the 30th of Cheshvan 5774. We know this because all of the moladim for Rosh Chodesh for months with 30 days are falling on Rosh Chodesh itself instead of the day before. So Rosh Chodesh is being declared before the New Moon can even be spotted the evening before. This was set up by Hillel HaSheini so that Yom Kippur would not fall out on Motzei Shabbat causing us to fast on Shabbat for at least 18 minutes before sunset. So yes, Sunday is the 18th of Iyar, but in Shamayim it might be the 17th of Iyar. Why? because Beit Din had the power to prolong a month by one day in ancient times from 29 to 30 days. It never occurred in ancient times that a month was shortened from 30 to 29 days unless the New Moon had actually been spotted on the eve of Day 30. Yet, this is our calendar for about 1700 years, when we have had no Beit Din in Eretz Yisrael declaring the New Moon.
Well there is actually one other possibility where a New Moon is declared on day 30 even if it is not seen. If it is cloudy at sundown on Day 30 after two months in a row which had already had 30 days, Beit Din would not expect witnesses to show up because the moon could not be spotted through the clouds. Then Beit Din would have used means at their disposal to declare the New Moon after only 29 days. But we don't have this circumstance this year where 2 months in a row with 30 days have been declared.
Dov, AFAIK, the halacha that says that Shamayim follow the Beit Din's declaration of Rosh Chodesh even when it contradicts the visible moon ("Atem VeAfilu Mezidim") applies also to Hilel Hanasi's calendar. So there is no possibility to consider Sunday as the 17th. Even more so it being the Hilula of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai - Rabbi Shimon will definitely be celebrating together with us on Sunday, and not on Monday!
I know Dan, but it was never done in ancient times that the New Moon was declared before it could be spotted the evening before if the skies had been clear. Hillel obviously was within his right to set up the calendar this way according to halakhah even if there was no precedent for it before the calendar was set up. Beit Din did coerce witnesses to be witnesses only if Beit Din was sure that the moon would have been spotted if the skies had been clear the night before.
Don't worry I am not encouraging anyone to celebrate a Yom Tov a day later than what Hillel HaSheini set up...even if there is no Sanhedrin today to validate this.
yes this is it day of geula
And that Dov Bar-Leib above is an impostor. His name does not link to a Blogger profile page. Shawn, is that you?
Motzei Shabbos came and went and nothing of any significance happened...?
You know, for suffering people who are longing for Guela, all these comments of "something imminent is going to happen" is a reeaaally let down.
Before we declare this particular prediction a failure, let us at least wait until the following morning to see what happens to the dollar after the horrible economic news announced on Friday. Nothing of economic significance ever happens in a Western country on a Sunday. All effects are delayed until Monday morning. I am not saying that anything will happen. It is just if the effect of a Geulah event is economic, I don't expect to see any evidence of it on a Sunday.
The dollar crashed through the 3.6 floor today against the shekel. The Sha'ar ratzuf, the continuous rate is now 3.578 sheks. per dollar. This came after horrible US GDP numbers on Friday afternoon Israel time after currency trading closed at noon Israeli time. Maybe this is part of the event.
Now watch the US stock market go up today so that useful idiots can scream and yell about how things are getting better..as the value of the dollar sinks into the swamp that is America these days.
BS"D
Anyone looking for war will always B"H be disappointed. You have no idea whether something truly horrible was supposed to happen, and in the merit of the thousands of children marching in honor of Rashbi, was averted.
May we all receive the Pnimyus of Moshiach Tzidkeinu with Kindness & Mercy.
