The Hurricane Irma panic came exactly 6 months from Purim, which is a time when we do Teshuva from love. But we are on the opposite end of the year from that time - it is now a time of judgment when all are judged individually before Him. Teshuva Miyir'ah is most common at this time.
Irma has instilled and continues to instill much fear in people. The question is whether that fear is fear of what some may call "Mother Nature" or whether that fear is fear of HKB"H.
Hashem makes His presence known for those who want to see it. For those who don't want to see it, they will learn it eventually the hard way. Let's fear Him before it's too late.

R’ Elazar ben Avina tells us, “Misfortune comes to the world only on account of Israel..." (Yevamos 63a, see Rashi “בשביל ישראל” and Rashi to Shemos 7:3 “ואני אקשה”). The Meiri says, “If misfortune rains upon the Jews themselves, they should assume responsibility for the tragedy...” (Artscroll Yevamos 63a, note 44).
Therefore, when the nations of the world blame us for their problems, let's stop accusing them of making anti-semitic remarks and realize that we are "a stiff-necked people" (see Shemos 32:9; 33:3, 5 and Devarim 9:6, 13) who don't want to submit ourselves to our Creator's Will.
As Rashi says, “They turn the hardness of the back of their necks toward those who admonish them and refuse to listen” [(Shemos 32:9). see also Rashi to Shemos 33:3)].
Just like Hashem destroyed Egypt, He will destroy America, as well.
What the Americanized Jew can do is daven and cry from the depths of his/her heart is that our Creator bring us back to the Holy Land.

In order to get out of South Florida (Miami) until Interstate 10 westbound from Jacksonville, one has to drive 345 miles on one half of a tank of gasoline since all the gasoline in South Florida has been sold, and all the gas stations along the way are also sold out of their gasoline. What a horrible plague this is!
By the looks of the new Cone, I wonder if some of the rain will reach Illinois? Its head in that direction.

Neshama, we're supposed to get some of the winds from Irma on Tuesday and Wednesday. Of course, much calmer than currently. We got some of Harvey a couple weeks ago. I remember getting remnants of Ike a few years ago.
Since the lost Israelites from the Northern Kingdom that were taken back to Ashur are now in Afghanistan, are the Pashtuns coming any time soon? The castaways from Mitzraim in Ethiopia are already here though. I think all the kosher ones have already made Aliyah even as early as the previous Shofar blast in 5751, 3/4 of the way through the 6th Millennium. but the Pashtuns are still missing.
Maybe there are lost Jews in South Korea. They surely learn Talmud as if they are lost there. They should come here and convert before Kim Jong Un's plague of Fire.

which is also in relation to the Geula.
Yes, Yaak, that is the third Shofar blast of the Final Redemption according to our Nevi'im in Musaph Rosh HaShanah in chronological order and order of tefillah. The other two blasts from Musaph Rosh HaShanah have already occurred at least in part. First blast was the birth of the State of Israel. The 2nd blast was the one the Vilna Gaon predicted for 5750 and 5751. That third Shofar blast seems to refer to an attack on international shipping by Persian backed Houthis off the Coast of Yemen in the Strait of Mandeb or the Gulf of Aden. Or they might just shoot a missile against Riyadh. The effect would be the same. WW3.
