Massacre in Pittsburgh

After the horrible massacre by an Amalekite piece of dirt in a Pittsburgh Jewish house-of-worship, which was dubbed by the ADL as "the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the United States", I'm left with feelings of sorrow for those who lost family members and for all of Kelal Yisrael.

Is America slowly (or quickly) becoming Europe?  I'll leave that discussion for another day.

The building, according to news reports, houses 3 separate congregations, the main one being the first on the list:

• Tree of Life/Or L'Simcha (Conservative)
• New Light Congregation (Conservative)
• Congregation Dor Hadash (Reconstructionist)

Alas, Hashem did not place the להט החרב המתהפכת to guard the path to the Tree of Life.  Since He allowed such an act to occur (as opposed to the myriads that He didn't - which we need to thank Him for daily), we all need to do some introspection and fix what needs to be fixed in our lives.  This applies to all Jews - whether they are very observant, moderately observant, less observant, or not observant - whether they live in North America, Europe, Asia, Israel, or the Southern Hemisphere - this is an attack on the entire Kelal Yisrael and we must act as one to fix it.

May Hashem heal the wounded and comfort the families of those who perished.  May Hashem enact revenge against the one who committed this heinous act against Jews.  May Hashem bless and heal the brave first-responders who came to help and undoubtedly saved many lives.  May Amalek be quickly blotted out and may Jews never see anything like this ever again.
