CHAZ and Hatzeirot

I find it quite ironic that at the same time that statues of the leader of the last nation to secede from the US are being torn down, a tiny new nation has seceded from the union.

Now this entire new nation of CHAZ is based on Motzi Shem Ra against the police, claiming that they are systemically racist. It may have been true at one point, but in the year 2020, this is a baseless claim. What occurred in Minneapolis is terrible and tragic, and emotions are powerful and raw, but it has no bearing on the facts and provable data showing that the vast majority of cops are good-hearted and professional who do an extremely difficult job. The vast majority of the media has this so tragically - and dangerously - wrong.

The root cause of the Motzi Shem Ra of the "Chazians" is these anarchists' hatred for Donald Trump (and in an election year to boot - if they can even participate in the election being from another country and all, but I digress). That they will stoop to new lows of creating a new country is not surprising. They believe him to be the racist-in-chief. Someone from the neighboring United States even got Webster's dictionary to redefine the word "racist" more to their liking.

Miriam Hanevia, in Hatzeirot, spoke against her brother - the leader of the Jewish people - Moshe Rabbeinu (incidentally because he took an אשה כושית).  The commentators explain that she was complaining that he neglected Tzippora.  Even though her claim was valid (were he not Moshe Rabbeinu who spoke to Hashem at a moment's notice) and she had no ill-intent, she was nevertheless punished with Tzara'at.  

The lesson for the Chazians is to learn from what occurred in Hatzeirot.  If not, it won't end well.  Just ask the Meraglim.
