Calculations and Populations

Disclaimer: The first half of this post was written about 6 months ago, but not published until now with minor edits.  As with all predictions, this post should not be construed as Torah Misinai, and is only written as a possibility.  May it be Hashem's will that it be so.

Daniel 12:11-13: 

יא  וּמֵעֵת הוּסַר הַתָּמִיד, וְלָתֵת שִׁקּוּץ שֹׁמֵם--יָמִים, אֶלֶף מָאתַיִם וְתִשְׁעִים.	11 And from the time that the continual burnt-offering shall be taken away, and the detestable thing that causes appalment set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
יב  אַשְׁרֵי הַמְחַכֶּה, וְיַגִּיעַ:  לְיָמִים--אֶלֶף, שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת שְׁלֹשִׁים וַחֲמִשָּׁה.	12 Happy is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
יג  וְאַתָּה, לֵךְ לַקֵּץ; וְתָנוּחַ וְתַעֲמֹד לְגֹרָלְךָ, לְקֵץ הַיָּמִין.  {ש}	13 But go thou thy way till the end be; and thou shalt rest, and shalt stand up to thy lot, at the end of the days.' {P}

Much attention is given to the 3rd-to-last and 2nd-to-last verses in Daniel.  However, the last verse is also important.  Daniel was told לך לקץ - to go to the Ketz - which I believe means to go to the 6th Millennium.  Then, he was told ותנוח - and rest - which I believe refers to the "nighttime" of the millennium, which is the first 500 years.  That is, after he reaches the year 5001, Daniel was told to rest for the night.  From 5001 - 5501 is considered the "nighttime" of the Sixth Millennium since ויהי ערב ויהי בקר - the day starts at night.  Then, he was told ותעמוד - and rise up - starting at 5501, the "daytime" of the Sixth Millennium.  How much into the daytime?  לגרלך - to your lot.  Indeed, the gematria of לגרלך is 283.  In the 283rd year of the daytime of the Sixth Millennium will be the Ketz Hayamin. This calculates to the year 5783.

Israel has just endured its 5th election in 3.5 years.  This cycle of election after election had given the country a sense of helplessness and despair.  ואפס עצור ועזוב, if you will.  When did this sense of despair begin?  May 29, 2019 (Iyar 24, 5779).  That was the day that Netanyahu gave up trying to form a coalition after the first of these elections.

During this multi-election period, it wasn't all elections in vain.  Naftali Bennett and Ya'ir Lapid had indeed formed a short-lived government.  However, this government was so anti-religious that the people went from the frying pan into the fire.  Bennet was prime minster for a year, followed by Lapid during the caretaker government period.  The gematria of נפתלי בנט יאיר לפיד is 976.  This is the same gematria as שקוץ שמם ימים from the first verse above.  The word ימים is עולה לכאן ולכאן and also tells us how many days to wait until the שקוץ שמם of the previous government is gone.  If one calculates 1290 days from May 29, 2019, one gets December 9th, 2022 (Kislev 15, 5783), around 5 weeks after the November 1st elections, and near the end of the usual period for government-formation haggling (Netanyahu has until December 11th to form a government).  That would make 1335 days January 23rd, 2023 (Rosh Hodesh Shevat, 5783).  כן יהי רצון.

Daniel 8:9-14:

ט  וּמִן-הָאַחַת מֵהֶם, יָצָא קֶרֶן-אַחַת מִצְּעִירָה; וַתִּגְדַּל-יֶתֶר אֶל-הַנֶּגֶב וְאֶל-הַמִּזְרָח, וְאֶל-הַצֶּבִי.	9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beauteous land.
י  וַתִּגְדַּל, עַד-צְבָא הַשָּׁמָיִם; וַתַּפֵּל אַרְצָה מִן-הַצָּבָא וּמִן-הַכּוֹכָבִים, וַתִּרְמְסֵם.	10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and some of the host and of the stars it cast down to the ground, and trampled upon them.
יא  וְעַד שַׂר-הַצָּבָא, הִגְדִּיל; וּמִמֶּנּוּ הרים (הוּרַם) הַתָּמִיד, וְהֻשְׁלַךְ מְכוֹן מִקְדָּשׁוֹ.	11 Yea, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the host; and from him the continual burnt-offering was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
יב  וְצָבָא תִּנָּתֵן עַל-הַתָּמִיד, בְּפָשַׁע; וְתַשְׁלֵךְ אֱמֶת אַרְצָה, וְעָשְׂתָה וְהִצְלִיחָה.	12 And the host was given over to it together with the continual burnt-offering through transgression; and it cast down truth to the ground, and it wrought, and prospered.
יג  וָאֶשְׁמְעָה אֶחָד-קָדוֹשׁ, מְדַבֵּר; וַיֹּאמֶר אֶחָד קָדוֹשׁ לַפַּלְמוֹנִי הַמְדַבֵּר, עַד-מָתַי הֶחָזוֹן הַתָּמִיד וְהַפֶּשַׁע שֹׁמֵם--תֵּת וְקֹדֶשׁ וְצָבָא, מִרְמָס.	13 Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said unto that certain one who spoke: 'How long shall be the vision concerning the continual burnt-offering, and the transgression that causes appalment, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled under foot?'
יד  וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי--עַד עֶרֶב בֹּקֶר, אַלְפַּיִם וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת; וְנִצְדַּק, קֹדֶשׁ.	14 And he said unto me: 'Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be victorious.'

The little horn could refer to Edom (acc. to Rashi) or Yishmael (acc. to Rav Saadia Gaon) or it could refer to Edom or Yishmael as the leader of all the 70 nations of the world.  The world population started small and its population grew and grew (verses 9, 10, and 11) and its leader (Edom or Yishmael) took over the Mekom Hamikdash (verses 11-12).

In verse 13, it was asked, "Until when and until what size will the world population grow to trample over the Mekom Hamikdash?"

In verse 14:

עד ערב - Until WWII  (a dark part of history, denoted by ערב), there was slow growth

ערב בקר could mean that during WWII, 3% of the world population died, but afterwards and since then (בקר), the world population increased at a very rapid rate. (Note verse 9, which refers to the south and east, which could refer to Africa and Asia, where much of the population boom is coming from.  Also, הַצֶּבִי, Eretz Yisrael, has the highest fertility rate of all 38 OECD member nations.)

אַלְפַּיִם is 2,000

ושלש can possibly mean to cube the 2,000.

2000^3=8,000,000,000

This gives us 8 billion - the current world population.

מאות can mean "from the אות" - which could refer to the sign of the rainbow during Noah's time, where it says זֹאת אוֹת-הַבְּרִית and the world population was a mere 8.  Since that time in history, the world population increased from 8 to 8 billion.  When that occurs...

וְנִצְדַּק, קֹדֶשׁ - then shall the sanctuary be victorious.  Indeed.  כן יהי רצון.
