Tocheha:
סו וְהָיוּ חַיֶּיךָ, תְּלֻאִים לְךָ מִנֶּגֶד; וּפָחַדְתָּ לַיְלָה וְיוֹמָם, וְלֹא תַאֲמִין בְּחַיֶּיךָ. | 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear night and day, and shalt have no assurance of thy life. |
Ribbi Shimon Bar Yohai found the verse in the Tocheha in which the Redemption of Israel is found. It is the one above. In Matok Midevash, there is a nice explanation about this.
If you take the entire verse minus the first word והיו (which means "and they will be", showing what will occur in the future), the gematria of the Milui ההין of the verse is 5783.

I was at Neshama's blog HERE and was going to correct the notion that the DUNAM is an OTTOMAN term and land measurement, and come to find out that there is no word DUNAM דונם in all of the TANA"CH. But we English speakers do pronounce the word more like the Hebrew than any other language that claims to have it first.
So, what is the real HEBREW (not "ISRAELI" as is stated for DUNAM) term for a land measurement?
Alternatively, we need to find out why H' decided not to include one.
This does not negate any claims we have to our G-d-given heritage and land, but it would help to know HOW our ancestors measured land, or even IF they did.
I think it would help our lives not to hang in doubt before our eyes quite so much, if we knew this, and where it can be found. MTIA!
Our sages used "Mil" and "Parsa" for land measurements. For fields, they would also use the measurement "Beit Se'ah".
Thank you, Rav Yaak! This is helpful.
