Hurva Synagogue Rededication in Nissan - Beit Hamikdash Connection

Everyone seems to be talking about an article in Haaretz about how the Hurva Synagogue will be rededicated on March 15th - and how the Vilna Gaon predicted its third construction is linked to the construction of the third Beit Hamikdash.

I talked about this a couple times already, and Hashem1.net connected this idea to a gemara in Sanhedrin 98.

The Hiddush here is that the headline of "If the Vilna Gaon was right, the 3rd Temple is on its way" is so prominent in a secular website like Haaretz.

Perhaps, we're approaching the time when this verse will apply:

שְׁאֵרִית יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא-יַעֲשׂוּ עַוְלָה, וְלֹא-יְדַבְּרוּ כָזָב, וְלֹא-יִמָּצֵא בְּפִיהֶם, לְשׁוֹן תַּרְמִית: כִּי-הֵמָּה יִרְעוּ וְרָבְצוּ, וְאֵין מַחֲרִיד.

This post sent shivers down my spine. I read somewhere this past summer, that a Rav in Israel (do not remember his name, but it began with a 'K' - Kanievsky? Kaminetsky?) answered someone who, at a Tisha b'Av gathering, asked him to expound on the halachot of Tisha b'Av. The Rav answered to this effect: 'I won't tell you about the halachot, because this year (5770), there will not be a Tisha b'Av anymore.'
That sent shivers down my spine; and it ties in with the pasuk, and the premise of your post.

It's pretty obvious that Hourva won't be fo ever, Muslims are coming back in 20 years and we'll recapture all our sacred occupied territories, you'll never have Jerusalem for ever till there is only one Muslim on Earth. evil sionists you won't resist. Evil ZIONISTS your Hourva will go to rack and ruin again.

Joayria,
Good luck with that. Not.

I applaud your bravery for coming on this site. However, please know that what you say is refuted by Jewish sages who have a tradition from Moses, who got his tradition from G-d Himself, so again, good luck with that. Not.

Yaak, you were too nice to the Yusuf commenter, above.

-Obvious the Hurva won't be forever? How is it obvious? It's more obvious that the Jewish People are finally back in our land, given to us by G-d, and that the Redemption process has begun.

We will build, and continue to rebuild, until we rebuild the ultimate: our Beit HaMikdash, the Holy Temple, on its original site--you know where that is, don't you?

Muslims coming back to 'recapture...sacred occupied territories?' They had access to these so-called 'territories' for centuries--and did nothing with them. Which proves that the area is meaningless to them.

It is just the Muslims' very LOUD EXCUSE to try to empty the land of JEWS, but Jews will there be: It has been prophesied, and it is now coming to fruition.
The sooner you see the truth, "Joayria Yusuf", the easier it will be for all our peoples.

I am naturally skeptical about religous predictions of any kind. But I admire learned debate. I note the postings of a disturbed, angry person, and am reminded more and more that learned debate is slowly fading from public forums, and the rants and emotional tirades replacing it are become the norm. Sad time.

Thanks, Lady-light. I don't know how to be mean without stooping to the level of "May your mother fall into a pot of boiling hummus." On second thought, maybe I should have used that! (despite the last comment by Anonymous).
