We read Haftarat Tzav this year. The next time: 5803

The Haftara for Parashat Tzav was read a week and a half ago.  It is one of the most painful Haftarot to read due to its retelling of our sins that the punishments we will receive for them.

When I see the next time we will read this Haftarah, it's not for another 21 years!

Perhaps, the message is that Hashem will push these harsh decrees (that were discussed in the Haftarah) off as far away as possible - as far as into the next century.  May we experience only the Haftarot of consolation in the future.

Indeed it's a wonder why did Chazal assign this specific passage as the Haftara of this Parasha. If because it speaks about sacrifices, there are numerous other passages in the Prophets that speak about sacrifices and are much more comforting.
