Larry K. Johnson, a Laurel, Md., reader, writes:

"Could we call the endless debate about the governor of Alaska a palin-drone?"

As long as we are on the subject of palindromes, the anagrams for Sarah Palin include "a sharp nail."

Or maybe more to the point: "Ash Iran, pal."
