I wrote here that "The Tel Aviv experience was an eye opener, I must admit. From the short time that I worked in the city, I truly feel that Tel Aviv is in the midst of a Teshuvah process."
I have come to really like Tel Aviv, and I see it as more religious than its reputation.
In addition, Hamodia recently ran a fascinating series over three weeks about the history of frum Jewry (specifically from a chassidic viewpoint - shteiblech and rebbes who used to live in TA) in tel Aviv
