Old North Korea Links
Now, onto something far more serious:
North Korea is threatening once again after conducting a nuclear test and missle tests.
I've posted on North Korea before with a translation of Rav Nahmani's speech on how Korea will end up in Israel.
Hashem1.net has this speech both as a post and as a video with English subtitles.
Hashem1.net has another very interesting post on North Korea here (which I've linked to before) where he mentions the idea that North Korea's ancient name is Goguryeo (see this Wikipedia map) during the time of Bayit Sheni. Earlier, it was called Gojoseon, with Pyongyang as its capital.
All the Mefarshim seem to say that Gog is a king and Magog is his land, but is it possible to say that both Gog and Magog are nations? Perhaps, Gog is North Korea and Magog is Iran? It's hard to fit that with the Pesukim, but I'm just throwing that out there as something to think about.
There a lot of other interesting tidbits in that post from Hashem1.net, including Torah codes, a Zohar translation, and more.
We know that the North Koreans were trying to help Syria build a nuclear site before the IAF destroyed it with Hashem's mercy and we know that they are very friendly with the Iranians.
Hashem should save us from all our enemies, whether near or far.
Have a happy Shavuot!
