Burning the Effigy of Haman With Yated Ne'eman
Ladaat.net has an article on how people burn the effigy of Haman with the pages of the Israeli Yated Ne'eman (which is different than the American newspaper with the same name).
Apparently, there's a minhag practiced by mainly Tunisian Jews to burn Haman's effigy, based on the gemara in Sanhedrin 64b.
This year, due to the lack of respect this newspaper gave to great rabbis (R' Ovadia Yosef included), they decided to use the pages of the Yated to perform this Minhag.
Now that's killing 2 birds with one stone.

One of the definitions of an Apikorus is someone who derides Torah scholars. (Think it is in Talmud Sanhedrin perek Chelek).
Yated has great respect for Torah scholars, unless they come from another camp.
Why not burn the American version too?
I don't have anything against the American version. As far as I know, they don't deride Torah scholars.
