Day of the Grasshopper Looms....LOCUST PLAGUE IN AUSTRALIA: Alarming farmers: Biosecurity of Queensland has already warned farmers about the alarming locust threat in the state and has stated that the locust breeding in the south west could cause millions of damage to crops and landholders if not treated immediately.......Floods, now plague locusts for rural NSW......

NEXT IS THE US....... The Wall Street Journal reports that federal officials have warned that the worst grasshopper plague in 25 years now faces the USA. It adds that “critically high numbers of adult grasshoppers” have been found in at least the states of Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming.

Ug99, a wheat disease, threatens up to 90% of the world’s wheat supplies as it spreads globally...and...the honeybee die-offs have worsened significantly over the recent winter which means that there are steadily less bees each year to pollinate many crops in America
