asking people to pray for Rav Elyashiv on Ta'anit Esther and Purim. He quotes the
Mishna Berura (119:12) who says that they said Selihot for the
Maharil when he was ill - even in the middle of a blessing of the Amida, which is usually reserved for supplications of a public nature and not for the well-being of private individuals - since the well-being of the Maharil was a public request as many needed his Torah. The implication from his words is that the same would apply to Rav Elyashiv Shlit"a.
