Curses and Threats

I've been extremely critical of Naftali Bennett, but someone took it to the next level and issued a Pulsa DeNura on him, saying that he's going to end up like Sharon.

Lo Zo Haderech.  There are other ways to defeat his ideas.

As Rav Shteinman recently said, we must have Emunah that all will end up for the best.  Even with this Emunah, we must still fight his ideas, but not take it out on him physically or spiritually.

In a somewhat related story, someone sent Chicago Cubs' owner Tom Ricketts a goat's head in what was apparently a Godfather-like threat.  Goats are very symbolic for Cubs fans.  The owner is considering making changes to the scoreboard and the number of night games at Wrigley Field.  Many people don't want that to happen.  The police are investigating.

It's disgusting and shameful behavior from these so-called Chareidim. This is not what Hashem wants from frum yidden. Personally, I do not agree with forcing Jews to join the army. Not because of what the gedolim say, but because it will cause only friction between Jews. Rather, the gov't should make joining the army voluntary and provide incentives to encourage chareidim to join.

i believe that Chareidim who learn in kollel all day and instead have their wives work outside of the home is so against what Hashem wants from yidden. In addition, it has bread an entitlement attitude similar to blacks in US who believe everything is coming to them,l'havdil. My own son, who is in yeshiva, questioned why should he learn a skill or go to college when he can just learn in kollel full-time and have his wife work. Very sad.

this is a lack of emuna
the torah path is not a path pf spellings and magics, this is the bilam path
people confund prayer with magic, the intend of prayer is regonize divine providence not change nature,so spellings are not adequate

Who knows if the letter is reliable. Maybe that person had it written by his secretary. If it is the truth then probably a Sefardi mekubal. Yaak do you have a way of asking Rabbi Ovadia.

Although Rav Ovadia too has been critical of Bennett in the past, this is not something Rav Ovadia would do or know who did.

It was done to Ariel Sharon. It was done upon others. Before we decide we have to know. Or just wait. Cursing a tzadik backfires, cursing an evil person we will read the effects on newspapers.
