Georgia comes back from a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter to take the lead, only to be defeated by a 4th and 18 miracle play by Auburn with 25 seconds left.
To those who wonder why I would post such a thing, I could give you a made-up answer and the real answer.
The made-up answer is that Georgia represents Gog, while, as we learned in last week's haftara, the house of Yaakov is "fire" and the house of Yosef is a "flame" which will "burn" (Auburn) the house of Esav and consume them. And we know this occurs in the last moments of history just after Gog and Edom get stronger and are on the verge of victory.
The real answer is because while some people get inspiration from a good Devar Torah, others from prayer, and still others from Sifrei Mussar and Hassidut, I get inspiration from everything in life. This includes all the above, but also includes stories of how people win the lottery, how people become successful, and even how people win sporting events. I try to see Hashem's hand in everything.
Secondly, longtime readers of this blog will know that they can expect a sports-related post about twice a year. Sometimes, it will have a lesson and sometimes it won't. If you are not interested, just ignore it.
Who is "yaak"?
I'm a half-Sepharadi, half-Ashkenazi, Haredi Zionist. I hope that clears it all up. :-)
I went to a Haredi elementary school, a mixed Haredi/modern high school, Haredi Yeshiva in Israel, and back to a mixed Yeshiva after that. I have a masters degree in computer science and Semicha.
BA"H Mash'ala, I'm married to a wonderful wife with 6 great children.
Hoping to meet each one of my readers in Yerushalayim when we are Olim LeRegel there very soon...

What am I missing over here???
Am I on the right site???
Maybe the "Lesson" of it all.. is that the "one" who thinks they've got it all wrapped up will be used to wrap it up for "the other side"
