More Statements Pointing Toward Geula Soon
I blogged yesterday how Rav Chaim Kanievsky Shlit"a said we're in Hevlei Mashiah. Now, Rafi points to an article on Kooker, which stated that a certain Rosh Yeshiva wanted to collect money for his Yeshiva overseas and came to Rav Kanievsky asking for a blessing for his endeavor. Rav Kanievsky refused to give him the blessing, saying that the trip to fund-raise is unnecessary since Mashiah would be coming in the meantime. The article notes that Rav Kanievsky is not just saying Mashiah is close, but also taking the added responsibility that the fundraising is not needed. The Rosh Yeshiva, in turn, canceled his trip overseas and instead helped his wife with house cleaning for Pesah, not worrying about the money.
And here's another interesting article (in Hebrew) pointing to Geula soon.

I've lost count of all the "OMG, Moshiach will be here soon!"
Reading Rav Kook's writings from 100 years ago and how it was imminent, or the "prediction" of the Vilna Gaon, ztk"l, that when the Churva shul was rebuilt Moshiach would come, or that Rav Kaduri had been promised he wouldn't die until Moshiach came.
And here we still are.
Assur to give up hope. We have to remember that H's time is not our perception of time. Years are a day; the Purim story, for example, takes about two decades, I think. Be assured, Moshiach is on his way! Hopefully, we don't have to wait too much longer, but may the Geulah come with rachamim rabim and in an instant, very soon (human's time).
Guess what, I've also lost count.
But the leads excite me every single time nonetheless.
Let me give you a Mashal:
You are an elementary school boy waiting for your father to pick you up from school. Your father drives a blue sedan and told you he's coming very soon. And you know your father to be 100% reliable and that nothing will stop him from coming to pick you up.
You wait and you see a blue sedan pass that looks like your father's car, but alas, it is not him. Then another, but alas, it is also not him. Then another, then another, then another, then another. This boy's friends who are waiting with him start to doubt the reliability of his father. "So many false leads, and still no father!" they say. The boy, who knows his father very well, doesn't get discouraged. "I know my father to be 100% reliable, so even when I thought he was coming a few minutes ago when all those blue sedans passed by me, they were just there to give me signs of Hizzuk that he is eventually coming. Even if the next 50 blue sedans are not him, I don't care, since his will be here eventually."
והנמשל מבואר.
That is beauty of awaiting of Mashiah, ...hope will never die
The problem is: most Jews are not waiting for Moshiach, Moshiach is waiting for us. Most people that I say Moshiach is imminent say "we've heard that before." Hashem is waiting for us to say "We have had enough of this evil world, WE WANT MOSHIACH IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!" Then Hashem will say "Now you have caught on, here he is." Moshiach is here already, he lives in Yerushalayim and he is waiting for us. The only way we are wanting him more is by Hashem making the world scary enough for us to look up and say "HELP!!!!" The one word of Teshuvah that will cause the introduction of Moshiach. What all these sources are saying is that the world is going to get much worse soon (probably this week) that we will finally say "WE'VE HAD ENOUGH, WE WANT MOSHIACH IMMEDIATELY!!! That is why he is close, not because of our emunah, but because the big scare in imminent. Got it?
Apsalute truth is a tzaddik with such a comprhension , wish the rest of us were on the ball .
Mighty, how do you know he is not here? Not everyone will see or witness the initial revealling of whom God Himself chooses. Now I must reluctently agree with 'The absoulute truth'. He is here, he is waiting, not only for us to return to the Creator of All, but has to internalize what must happen. You know, he will be human, he will have fears, people who are aware of him will have fears, everyone is concerned about the fallout with our derech so they are drawing up sides to limit their damage. It's very complex. But the bottom line is, if we truly do want, you will get though when it happens, those who unknowningly have slandered him, critisized him will be shamed. We must not forget who runs the game, its the Creator of All, and if he picks a shmuck in your eyes, you do not now his heart, the Creator of All does and He does not make mistakes in the end. So just in a simple, child like fashion return to the Creator of All, He will open the door, then the person has do decide whether or not to walk through it. When it happens, remember the book of Job whom received punishment for mocking Job. Have a wonderful pesach.
Shiloh, are you talking about Jeezus?
In our day fools! In the last 12 years, be'emet!
Not long ago Yaak posted a story about the messiah coming going here and there being refused by all, then returning to heaven saying he was not wanted. This is you all today, though he thankfully has not returned. But take it to the bank that God himself has identified a person, regardless of what our sages say or have written. Why do we have problem with that is we put the men of past to the status of divine. So, if any on here claim they know personally the person who was identified, they are liars. They don't know, they may have heard, that's the best it is. At anyrate, the preasure is on both sides, and both sides cannot live without the other.
