Geula Update from Rav Fish - Beha'alotecha 5774

Just going to summarize one thing from Rav Fish's newsletter this week (p. 14):

  • From the Zohar Vayehi 235b, we see that the tribe of Reuven will wage wars in the world in the future and will win those wars, causing the world to fear him.
    • "Migdal Eder" - which talks about the beginning of Redemption (see more about that here) is mentioned (Bereishit 35:21) in the topic of the story of Reuven and Bilhah since this applies to the period of MBY which works via the Kelipot - and especially via the Kelipa of Erev Rav, which is from Datan and Aviram, who came from Reuven.
  • We also see from the Zohar that the kingdom will not remain with Reuven, but will transfer to King Mashiah.
    • This is just like Reuven lost the kingship to Yehuda after he switch his father's bed around.
    • It refers to the Erev Rav Kelipa from the children of Reuven - that is what corresponds to the State of Israel.
    • It could be interpreted in 2 manners:
      • It refers to the wars in the year 1948 and 1967, when the children of Reuven won great wars and the nations are afraid of them because of the nuclear bomb.
      • Or, it refers to some future war that the State of Israel will fight, like against Iran, for example - and even though they will be victorious, the kingship will transfer to Mashiah.
        • It is similarly brought in the book of the Mekubal - Tzaddik Nistar - R' Baruch Shapira ZT"L from Ma'aleh Adumim - that the Geula will begin after the State of Israel will attack Iran.
    • R' D. Katz adds that יחי ראובן ואל ימת has the gematria תשע"ד.
    • R' M. P. adds that ראובן (Reuven) is the same letters as באירן (in Iran) if we lengthen the י to a ו, as is a known Kabbalistic tactic.

thanks yy. its very easy to get depressed with the surroundings. its reading this that keeps reminding us Hashem Never Forgets. even if we forget. i just pray redemption to yisrael comes soon. as long as we nations of the world keep troubling yisrael, we ourselves will know no peace. everything seems suffocating. family illness, prices, economy, racialism and most, even those who have corrected their mistakes and have turned to yisrael, as noahides, face the same back lash. thanks. this really gives us the strength to go on.

Your comment struck a real cord with me. G-d A-lmighty bless you. If I may, I think that what Hashem wants so to speak is for us to open or eyes, and overcome our personal and collective challenges through tapping into a higher level, this indeed is call the Higher Teshuva. There is a concept in kabbalah and chassidus called the service through trials which is higher then the standard service of refinements. I can elaborate elsewhere but this higher level of service involves tapping into a higher level. That is called opening the eyes and is the teshuva that takes us over the threshold.

There is a Reuven running for President tomorrow? Is that why Rav Fish brought this up now?

Other than that is there a Reuveni tribe amongst the Taliban in Afghanistan?

Well what do you know? There is a Reuveni and a Gadi tribe amongst the Taliban after all. This is from an A-7 article:
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/135487#.U5YC3nKSy3U

The very name of the Afridi tribe, of which many members belong to the Taliban, indicates its origin from the Israelite Tribe of Ephraim, Rabbi Avichayil says. “The Pathans, 22 million strong, include not only the Afridic tribe, some 7.5 million people, but also the Rabanis, the Gadis, the Asheris, etc. – indications that many of them are of the Ten Tribes.”

It seems to me that the Rabanis and the Gadis have been winning their wars against the Americans, Russians, and the British before them. So that prophesy has been fulfilled. So now you can come home.
Is Migdal Eder in Gush Etzion or further south?

According to Wikipedia, Migdal Eder was the first Yishuv built in Gush Etzion in modern times.

BTW, I noticed that one of the names of the tribe of Reuven is "Gog" (Divrei Hayamim Alef 5:4). Perhaps, the tribe of Reuven is spiritually needed to counter the other Gog.

Well apparently there was a very short but bitter war between the British and Afghani forces in the Summer of 1919. Winston Churchill wrote about this brief conflict. Lloyd Gog had just conquered Yerushalayim from the Turks in 1917. He was the first Gog because the Chafetz Chaim calls WW1 the first War of Gog uMagog, and Lloyd Gog did conquer Yerushalayim. From our perspective he was a good Gog, who supported the Balfour Declaration and the San Remo Conference. But he fought this little war in Afghanistan about the time when the League of Nations was formed, the first attempt at world government, a kind of precursor to the New World Order. The Afghans did secure for themselves a certain measure of independence in that war, but they had already had independence since around 1880 after another conflict with the British.

Also, of interest is that the Tribe of Gad was known as the lead and best warriors of all the 12 tribes.

I forgot about that Radvaz. I guess the Radvaz got it from the Zohar.
