Talmud Burning on Shiv'a Asar BeTamuz
History is planning to repeat itself. Again.
Even though Shiv'a Asar BeTamuz is a Nidhe (pushed off to the next day) this year due to it falling on Shabbat, the actual date is still significant.
One of the 5 events that occurred on Shiv'a Asar BeTamuz is that Apostomos burned the Torah.

UK MPs Decry 'Talmud Burning' London Neo-Nazi Rally
A group of British MPs have called for "every measure" to be taken to protect a Jewish community in London from an impending neo-Nazi demonstration planned on July 4, the first Shabbat of the month.
Hampstead and Kilburn MP Tulip Siddiq led a motion in the UK Parliament backing those calling to ban the demo, reports the Jewish Chronicle. Her constituency borders the neighborhood of Golders Green in northwest London which is the heart of the Jewish community in the city, and the target of the rally.
Siddiq, along with Conservative MP Peter Bottomley and others, called on Home Secretary Theresa May to take action against the demonstration.
The motion highlighted that the "rally is due to take place on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath, in an area in which 40% of the population is Jewish." It praised "the public activism in opposition to the rally – and particularly the change.org petition to ban it, and the work of Hope Not Hate and the London Jewish Forum, under the umbrella of the Golders Green Together campaign, to promote solidarity and celebrate diversity in the local area."
The British MPs added that they believe "every measure should be taken to protect Golders Green’s vibrant community from provocation and abuse."
They called on Theresa May to "consider what further actions the government could take to isolate the politics of hate and division on our streets."
At the rally, one of the fascist leaders has announced the neo-Nazis plan to desecrate Israeli flags and Jewish holy books in solidarity with the Palestinian Arabs and against the State of Israel.
Joshua Bonehill - a fascist activist with numerous convictions for petty crime and racism - initiated the anti-Semitic campaign earlier this year, and announced this month that before the rally "there will also be a private ceremony held before the demonstration at an undisclosed and private location where copies of the Talmud books will be burnt in recognition of it’s racist Anti-White teachings."
July 4th this year falls out on the 17th of Tamuz1.
The Paris Burning of the Talmud (which I also mentioned a few months ago) occurred on Erev Shabbat Hukat in 1242, which has turned into a fast day in some communities for this reason2.
The lead-up to this burning was the confiscation of the Talmud by Pope Gregory IX YM"S, which occurred on Shiv'a Asar BeTamuz in 1239.
May these neo-Nazis be burned with the match they light and may the Tzom HaRevi'i be turned around לְשָׂשׂוֹן וּלְשִׂמְחָה וּלְמֹעֲדִים טוֹבִים.
1) This post will not deal with the fact that Shiv'a Asar BeTamuz falls out on American Independence Day for just the second time since 1939. Others have dealt with that previously.
2) Just today, Kikar reported that Rav Shteinman Shlit"a wanted to know the origin of the "Sorbonne" and was told that it was named for Robert de Sorbon, who participated in the Talmud burning in Paris, the article says. (After doing a quick Google search, I didn't find a reference to him participating, but we know that he was friends with, and later a confessor of, Louis IX YM"S and he

Since 1939- now that's an auspicious date, too. May they be thwarted by Hashem.
you wrote : he appointed as the chancellor of the Sorbonne Odo of Châteauroux YM"S, so he is pretty much guilty by association at the very least.)
odo of chateauroux was the chancellor of the university of paris. sorbonne is just a part of the university of paris. that means that robert de sorbon can't appoint odo of chateauroux as a chancellor of the university of paris.

Michael,
You may be correct. In my brief research, I thought I read it, but after looking again, there is no proof of that.
I may have misled myself by reading this translation:
A native of Chateauroux, in the diocese of Bourges, a student in Paris around 1210, where he met Robert de Sorbon, Eudes became master and professor of theology 1220 and canon. From 1238 to 1244 he was chancellor of the university.
Why don't the authorities come with water canons to put out the fire as its being lit, and let everyone get drenched! Stupid Britains!
