The following is according to those opinions that say that one should give according to the current value of silver.  According to those opinions that say that one should give half the country's currency, then do so.

According to the calculator that I've been using for the last few years, and entering 9 grams, the amount one should give is:

$4.92 per person

However, last week, Rav Yitzhak Yosef said that it's:  

23 shekel per person, which would amount to: 

$6.24 per person
