Ahdut Before (and During) Mashiah

Ahdut. We need help.  Lots of it.

The fictional - but all too real - scenarios are frightening.

First came:

Moshiach's hat - the poem

Next came:

Moshiach's hat - the poem in a video

Now came:

Tolna Rebbe: Why We Won't Be Able To Build The Third Bais Hamikdash On Our Own

And please remember, the Mashiach will have free will and it depends on your behaviour for him to render his decision of which way to go. He does not have to help us. Why should he with the way we behave?

Reminds me of the famous joke: How do we know Chazal had a sense of humour? Because of their classic one-liner: Talmidei chachamim marbim shalom ba'olam.

MGI,

I have to disagree with you. This is not H"V to blame real Talmidei Hachamim. It is more their followers who are at fault for this state of discord.

Hello.

First of all stop bothering Natalie Portman http://www.haaretz.com/news/national/1.573647

Better look into your "venerable" rav Metzger afairs.

Bachura like Natalie doesn't deserve this kind of "sin'at hinam"

May be she was even worth to became Mashiah's wife, but she schosse someone else who become jewish soon.

So, my advice to your tzibur, go to Kotel and start crying because the end is near.

Dolby,

First of all, I agree that some of the protesting was wrong. However, please look here for part of the reason why this film should not be done in this neighborhood.

Also, this is not Natalie's first run-in with Haredim. See here how she apologized for that. See my old posts about that episode here and here.

My advice to your tzibur is that your tzibur is our tzibur and we're all responsible for each other. So let's stop blaming "your tzibur" for the problems in the world and start fixing ourselves.

So, the street will be closed for 1-2 days for vehicles.

First for many centuries jews somehow managed to live without vehicles.

Second, as i remember when i lived there sometimes there was snow and all Mahane Yehuda with many little streets was closed.

I agree that Natalie is not such an event like snow :) She is even rarer in those simtaot to come.

Be patient. The municipality give her ok, so from the side of law she is innocent. What you (not you personally) trying to do is just "sinat hinam", sorry.

And, of course she is not a saint, but also not such a sinner like those protesting trying to picture her.

I also took a couple of minutes to see some pictures posted in British press and it looks she dressed quite modest :)

Btw your advice is very good. Shame that I'm not on the side of any tzibur :)

P.S.
Also, apologize if my postings here not exactly in the spirit of this blog.

Also, i just noticed you referenced two very old posts from the beginning of your blog.

Look, it was 9 years ago. She is now 32 and not 23. And you know being raised in the Hollywood atmosphere may skew your senses.

I wasn't aware about this incident and i don't approve this.

She apologized for that kiss.

And now i believe she is a decent Jewish girl in her heart.

Don't equalize her with a such like pop singer Madonna, who is a kitsch. N.P. is real and not so bad after all.

P.S.
Congrats on 9 year blogging :)

I find these posts somewhat depressing.

They actually highlight the exact problem, why the Bais Hamikdash is not sitting on that mountain right now.

Our sages tell us that the Bais Hamikdash was destroyed because of senseless hatred between Jews.
Both “Moshiach’s Hat” and the Tolna Rebbe show that we still have a way to go.

JEWISH UNITY NOW!
