Ge'ula Update

  • Rabbi Lazer Brody reports on volcanos in Antarctica and how it is a harbinger of Mashiah's coming. He also responds to his critics who are confused at his current Mashiah speculation:

  • PW, we are fighting a tremendous spiritual war right now; it's either Moshiach and redemption, or oblivion. No, there's no more time for Disney, Star Wars, and McDonalds. As a rabbi and spiritual guide, it is my solemn duty to prepare as many people as possible for the future, Jews and non-Jews alike. If we win, it's eternal bliss; if we lose, G-d forbid, I can't begin to describe the eternal catastrophe. We, the Jewish people, have blown it twice (the destruction of the First Temple, and the destruction of the Second Temple). Hashem doesn't want us to blow it a third time, especially when so many of our spiritual leaders, from all camps, are saying that Moshiach is on our front doorstep. That's why Hashem's sending us all these wake-up calls, like the ones I wrote about yesterday. So you see, PW, I'm not a prophet of doom - I'm more like a head coach trying to get you in shape for the big game.

  • Erev Mashiach reports that the 6-year-old boy Eli tells us that Mashiah's shofar gold trumpet is currently being sounded. (I don't know what this means.)
Update: He also has a statement on 2 Mashiahs: 1 fake and 1 real. Take a look there.

  • This Shabbat is the 26th of Iyyar, which is the date predicts (according to the Ibn Ezra's interpretation of a verse in Daniel) that something big will occur. For those Kabbalisticly inclined, it happens to be Yesod in Yesod. See here in Hebrew for more details.

  • The End of Days Blog has an interesting conversation in the comments section going on regarding those stuck in Hutz La'aretz - what can and should we do.

I find it very interesting that a bunch of us are reading the same Geula-oriented web sites daily. May we be zoche to welcome Moshiach very soon indeed!

BTW, Eli said that what is being sounded is Moshiach's trumpet (not the shofar, which comes later). What does the trumpet signify? In the Torah, it is used to call bnei Yisrael to war. But that was a silver trumpet. This trumpet, says Eli, is gold. The Cohanim sounded golden trumpets around Yerushalayim to call the Jews to gather in the Beis Hamikdash for Hakhel. Eli himself mentioned that it is announcing Moshiach, but further discussion with him is necessary.

And, just to whet your appetite for the next post, he spoke this week for the first time about two Moshiachs. A "fake" Moshiach and a "real" Moshiach. But before you start to worry, the "fake" Moshiach is also good. Details to follow Shabbos.

Things are definitely exciting right now, and I'm glad there's a discussion over at the End of Days blog about what we outside of Israel can do. Whether we plan to go, stay, go later, or aren't sure yet, communication is very important. I can't go long-term or permanently right away, hubby isn't ready, and maybe never will be, but talking and starting to contemplate making plans is a good start. For example, unless credit card debts are going to vanish with Mashiach's arrival, I need to get them paid down. We can't just up and leave the country no job in sight with debts to be paid. So paying off bills is one way I can start trying to disconnect from my current situation and start getting ready for big changes.

Shabbat Shalom!

Do you mean there might be the possibility of us Jews mistaking Moshiach Ben Yosef with Moshiach Ben David?

Yaakov N.,
Thanks. I corrected the post.

I'm in a very similar situation as you are in. However, Ain Davar Ha'Omed Lifnei Haratzon - loosely translated as "When there's a will, there's a way." We have to just keep willing it.
