Who is "yaak"? I'm a half-Sepharadi, half-Ashkenazi, Haredi Zionist. I hope that clears it all up. :-) I went to a Haredi elementary school, a mixed Haredi/modern high school, Haredi Yeshiva in Israel, and back to a mixed Yeshiva after that. I have a masters degree in computer science and Semicha. BA"H Mash'ala, I'm married to a wonderful wife with 6 great children. All this talk about Teshuva. What about doing it?
Let the Rabbanim lead by making peace among themselves. Let them apologize to the nation for having given wrong advise, for Redifat Kesef, for having taken money from the State in fraudulous ways, for the Sin against the Land, for not having protested (enough) the Churban of Gush Katif, for sexual sin, for covering up sin.
Teshuva is not in extra ritual. It is not in saying formal Slichot. Teshuva is in real Slichot, to real people, for the real media, in the open. Nothing else will do after so much Chilul HaShem. If not now, when?

כבר רבות דובר ונכתב על כך שיש מילה אחת, שהכי קשה לגרום לו לאדם שיוציאה מפיו. זוהי המילה: חטאתי. זה הדבר הקשה ביותר להוציא מהפה. קשה מאוד למצוא אנשים שיאותו בקלות לומר ולהתוודות בפה מלא: עשיתי עוול.
