Speaking of war

Mentalblog has a first-hand Katyusha attack account from the holy city of Safed (aka Tzefat) (- hat tip Akiva)

R' Ariel bar Tzadok has an interesting essay about the war (PDF file). So does R' Pinchos Winston.

Akiva quotes R' Lazer Brody and R' Dov Bar Leib as to what the war means as part of the Geula process.

Also, R' Brody is becoming another Rav Amnon Yitzhak by being Mezakeh the Rabim to do Mitzvot. (See here and here)

Nava and Hashem1.net quote the Halban ("Milkman") as saying 2 days before the war that a very harsh decree on the nation of Israel needs to be annulled.

Let's all pray for:

1)the safe return of all our captive soldiers

2)a speedy recovery for all injured by the rockets (among all the Holim of Israel)

3)the destruction of all Kassams and Katyushas

4)the destruction of:
     a) Meshaal
     b) Nasrallah
     c) Bin Laden
     d) Achmadinejad
     e) וכל כיוצא בהם - ימח שמם וזכרם

5)teshuva for Am Yisrael - especially important at this time of year and this time in history

6)the end of Galut and the beginning of the Geula, which should come quickly.

לא תכרות להם ברית ולא תחנם

This war is the direct result of our rejection of those who said the D'var Hashem. The solution is not in saying Tehilim, but in Teshuva, and acceptance of the D'var HaShem.

You cite Rav Bar Tsadok. He is on the record for saying that without Nevuah we cannot apply the above pasuk to the Arabs. He dared to say this in a disussion about Ohr HaRa'ayon. May HaShem give him the power to do Teshuva.

You cite Nava, the false prophet. Note how she is now positioning for Moshiach's "delay".

Anonymous, if you had a blog, I might even cite you. I wonder if you'd then have a negative comment about yourself.

I like looking at the good in people - not the opposite. I encourage you to do the same.

What will it take for you to change direction? A chemical bomb on Bnei Barak? HaShem Yerachem.

what is it with nava she has some dreams as a housewife in brooklyn and shes a prophet. I dont want a prophet I want rational, strong leader. Not some housewife in brooklyn telling me about a huge eagle swooping all the jews out of golus- lunacey and nonsense and it leads people astray.......when we merit redemption and not until then its a slippery slope like an ice cliff -one move up two moves down etc...

Nava pretty much represents the great big lie of the Moshiach Now movement. To all who want to hear: Make Aliya, help us build up the land, and true Jewish government. Then the redemption will come.

Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps we need all of the following:
a) the strong leaders
b) the people making Aliya to help build up the land
c) and yes, the Navas of the world who help people be Mehazek their Emuna.
Eizehu Hacham? Halomed Mikol Adam.

Moshiach Now is a possible scenario. So is Kim'a Kim'a. Or, perhaps, there is no Stira between the 2. Perhaps, it is now time for the end of the process.
Try to have an open mind about this.

Dear Yaak, in return I invite you to consider that I really really know what I wrote to you for about a year now. There is great danger, and we are about to miss the one opportunity that would have cancelled the gezera: public and unambiguous teshuva by the "gedolim" that betrayed Eretz Yisrael and the Faithful.

The horrendous awareness has manifested itself in great physical suffering which my must now carry. May HaShem have mercy beyound our merits.
