Some Don't See the Truth
I attended a shiur by the Kabbalist R' David Pinto Shlit"a last night. He talked about how Avraham Avinu was able to see the truth when everyone else didn't. He said that the same is true with many people nowadays. Those whose eyes are open will be able to see the truth.
How many of us will see the cancellation of the parade as Yad Hashem, and how many will chalk it up to consistant "bad timing"?
It was obviously Yad Hashem. The only question that remains is whether it was supposed to be this way originally or if our Zechuyot overturned the Gezeira.
Was it due to this? Or this? Or even this?
Whatever it was, we need to be thankful that no defilement of the holiest city to Judaism will take place.

It wasn't cancelled, it was simply moved. They are going to make a parade from the Israel Museum to the Science Museum, and then to the stadium where they will have their "happening."
And what about the continued defilement of Har Habayit, a place holier than Jerusalem!? If Jews can't go up there then nobody should be going up there. Why not riot til it's closed down to everybody!?
Don't be running yet to celebrate. I was just listening to Kol Haneshama (Israeli station) and a mekubal with mekubalim were doing speical prayers asking HaShem to annul decrees and not to bring war to Yerushalayim, Israel and anywhere Jews are.
Some of the things they said was Avinu Malkenu - HaShem Hu HaElokim - Tehillim and were pleading with HaShem to send Gog uMagog ONLY to the Goyim.
The Rav was saying that only a person that keeps the Torah will survive...
What just transpired was a test of birur. The next test will be bigger and harder and will be so big, we won't even remember this ever happened.

It was moved earlier, and now, it was canceled. I heard that there will be no parade - just the "happening" at the stadium. At least it's behind closed doors, and no one on the street will see the garbage going on.

As I said, it's now behind closed doors, which is where these people should be if they want to flaunt their deviant behavior.
I think Rav Elyashiv deserves credit for this. The police negotiated the compromise with him. The Gerrer Rebbe and Rav Steinman, of Moshiach now, do not deserve credit. They thought the protests were Bitul Torah and bad for the youth.
It was the Charedi protests. Seeing its power hurts, though. We should collectively tear Kriya over the fact that Rav Elyashiv chose to side with Sharon half a year before the expulsion from Gaza. If the success of Friday was Jad HaShem, the Jad has an etsba scticking out, pointing to Gaza.
There was lots of behind the scenes by some dedicated women calling rabbis and rebitzens before the chareidim said or did anything. Remember that the very first politician to publicly protest was Mina Fenton, NRP Jm city council.

In the end, it was the threat of violence that swayed the decision. This is the pattern by which this goverment acts. About time we used it in our own favor for a change.
