Concerning Devash’s post about the Chaftez Chaim, I should also “sit up and take notice” because prior to the end of 5770 this teaching was on my mind but I was far too busy to learn it and forgot about it. I have never know the source of this Chaftez Chaim. Do you?

No, I don't.
I've mentioned R' Elchonon Wasserman's quote before, though (about it being 70 years after WWII). He was a Talmid of the ח"ח.
I'm aware of Tzipita Lishu'a and ch. 12-14 of Shem Olam by the ח"ח. I'm sure the ח"ח discusses Mashiah in more places too, but I don't know where. There are also a lot of word-of-mouth Mashiah tidbits attributed to the ח"ח.
I have seen statements and I imagine that you have too, attributed to mekubalim and gedolim that it is not necessary to make aliyah in anticipation of Mashiach Tzikenu. I have wondered how many are based on this Chaftez Chaim.
From another perspective, there are those rabbanim who are otherwise very faithful to the Chaftez Chaim, yet they vigorously urge aliyah.
