The Case for a 5772-Based Geula - Part 1

Updates from version 2 in red.

I was emailed the following information.  Rav Yekutiel Fish - the author of the 5-volume set on Kabbala called "Sod HaHashmal" - has made the case for why the upcoming 18 months should be very interesting indeed.  Many verses hint to the year "72" and "772" and the essays contained in the pdf file compile these hints very nicely.  I was surprised to find that a small portion of what he says can also be found in various earlier posts on my blog.
Rav Fish already has 2 books in HebrewBooks.org, written 2 years ago with a whole bunch of Haskamot (approbations).  His email address can be found on the bottom of page 9 of the pdf file below.  Also on that page, it states: נא להפיץ מאמר זה לזיכוי הרבים, which the author requests redistribution of his work for the merit of the masses.

Download the Hebrew pdf by clicking the image below and then by clicking the word "Download":

I will attempt, with Hashem's help, to translate this in multiple parts. What follows is my translation of Part 1.  (Note that I will not translate Zohars):

We are approaching the year 5772 - the Keitz of the Zohar and the Gr"a.  Are you ready?

The Last Keitz of the Redemption according to Ribbi Shimon Bar Yohai in the Holy Zohar is 5772

We found in the Zohar (Va'et'hanan 270a):
   "אוֹי לָנוּ כִּי פָנָה הַיּוֹם כִּי יִנָּטוּ צִלְלֵי עָרֶב", יוֹם וְצֵל הוּא סוֹף גָּלוּתָא, וְשִׁיעוּרָא דְּהַאי צֵל שִׁית קְמָצִין וּפַלְגָּא.

Similar to this, we also found the Zohar (Vayikra 16a):

The Gr"a explains there, "It means to say that 1000 years of the Galut and another half of the day until one half hour after Hatzot because then, the sun starts to set." And similarly explained the Matok Midevash, "שית קמצין ופלגא means 6½ hours on the 6th day, since then, it is recognizable that the shadow bent toward the West. The explanation of the words:  since HKB"H's day is 1000 years, as it is written (Tehillim 90:4): כִּי אֶלֶף שָׁנִים, בְּעֵינֶיךָ-- כְּיוֹם אֶתְמוֹל, כִּי יַעֲבֹר; וְאַשְׁמוּרָה בַלָּיְלָה [For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.], the end of the exile will be when "a day and a shadow" pass, which hints to the fifth millennium, which is a complete day, and part of the sixth millennium until the time of the shadow.  That is, when the time of Minha Gedola arrives, after 6.5 hours from the morning of HKB"H's sixth "day", which is the sixth millennium since Creation - that is the end of the exile.  And if we divide the sixth millennium into 24 hours, and multiply by 18.5, we get to the end of Tammuz, 5771, upon which the Zohar says in 2 places is the end of the exile.

[YY - Note that this is pretty much the same as what I said here although I didn't realize the Gr"a said the same. Baruch Shekivanti.]

And also the verse that the Zohar mentions about the Redemption  "אוֹי לָנוּ כִּי פָנָה הַיּוֹם כִּי יִנָּטוּ צִלְלֵי עָרֶב" ['Woe unto us! for the day declineth, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out!], the Yerushalmi learns from this verse the time of Minha - that it starts at 6.5 hours [YY - it seems that the Bavli does too], as we will explain later that the time of Minha is connected with a strong bond with the time of the Redemption.  And this is the wording of the Yerushalmi (Pesahim 31):

Why do you see fit to say that the time period of "Bein Ha'arbayim" is from six hours and on? Even though there is no proof to the matter, there is a commemoration of the matter "אוֹי לָנוּ כִּי פָנָה הַיּוֹם כִּי יִנָּטוּ צִלְלֵי עָרֶב" ['Woe unto us! for the day declineth, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out!]. Just as "Erev" mentioned there is from six hours and on, similarly, the "Erev" mentioned here is from six hours and on.
And this is also the wording of the Mishna about the daily afternoon sacrifice, for which the Minha prayer was established corresponding it (Yoma 7:3) עִם תָּמִיד שֶׁל בֵּין הָעַרְבָּיִם [with the daily afternoon sacrifice] - the Rashei Teivot is ה' תשע"ב [the year 5772].

And similarly, the Future Redemption is similar to the Redemption from Egypt, as it says (Micha 7:15) "As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto him marvellous things." The Redemption from Egypt started to bud during the period of the end of Tammuz, 2447 years from Creation, when Moshe and Aharon stood before Par'oh and made the miracles, and on Rosh Hodesh Av was the Plague of Blood.

And also, the year תשע"ב hints that תהא שנת ע"ב [it should be a year of] 72 - the gematria of חסד [kindness] and ע"ב symbolizes the שם הוי"ה במילוי יודי"ן, which is called שם ע"ב, which is the Name that influences the influence of Hessed [kindness] of the Redemption. And similarly, we find in the Zohar (Tikkunim 67a, Tikkunei Zohar Hadash 115a) that the final Keitz will come via the שם ע"ב, which is hinted to in the statement of Haza"l on the verse (Yeshaya 63:4) "For the day of vengeance that was in My heart, and My year of redemption are come." [where Haza"l say:] to My heart, I revealed it, but to My limbs, I did not reveal it. The Zohar explains there that ללבי is the gematria of ע"ב [i.e. 72] and the gematria of ויכלו. This hints that the Keitz will come from the שם ע"ב. And also the verse עַיִן בְּעַיִן יִרְאוּ בְּשׁוּב ה' צִיּוֹן - the Rashei Teivot are ע"ב. And also the verse וִיהִי מַבְדִּיל בֵּין מַיִם לָמָיִם - the gematria of the Rashei Teivot is 72. And the Matok Midevash explains, "That that is what separates between the bitter waters of exile and the sweet waters of redemption." And similarly we found in the Zohar (Pinhas 219b) that the verse מִלְחָמָה לַה' בַּעֲמָלֵק - the gematria of the Rashei Teivot is 72. And we found similarly in the Midrash (Devarim Rabba 1:11) "When He comes to redeem them, He redeems them with 72 letters." And Harav Hagaon Rav Yosef Sofer Shlit"a adds that the Rashei Teivot and Sofei Teivot of בעיתה אחישנה [in its time, I will hasten it] makes אהבה [love], which symbolizes the attribute of חסד [kindness, whose gematria is 72].  And also, 772 is the gematria of חסד דעתיק יומין.

And we also find in the Zohar (Tikkunim 76b) that the 70 nations have the Sod of 72 nations, as over them, there are 2 appointed angels - S"M and Nahash.  And the חסד [kindness] of holiness, whose gematria is 72, overpowers them.

And similarly, we found in the Zohar in 2 places (Aharei 68a, Pinhas 249a, Peirush Hagr"a ad loc and on Zohar Pekudei 255b) that there are 70 years of Hevlei Mashiah, with the sod of 70 sounds of the birthing mother [Shechina]. Afterwards, there are 2 years, with the sod of the birth itself, corresponding to the 2 doors [?] of the birthing mother [Shechina]. And the Gr"a (on Zohar Pinhas 219b) connects the words of the Zohar in all places with the Zohar that talks about the 100-year-process that we will bring down soon, that they all point to the year 5772. And according to this, it comes out that the years 5771 and 5772 are the sod of the birth of Mashiah, while the end of 5772 will be the coming of Mashiah. And so we find in the gemara (Niddah 30b): תִּשָּׁבַע כָּל לָשׁוֹן זֶה יוֹם הַלֵּידָה. וּמַה הִיא הַשְּׁבוּעָה שֶׁמַשְׁבִּיעִים אוֹתוֹ, תְּהִי צַדִּיק וְאַל תְּהִי רָשָׁע ["Every tongue will swear" refers to the day of the birth.  And what is the oath that they force him to take?  "Be righteous and don't be wicked!"]  And the word "תשבע" [will swear] is the letters of תשע"ב to hint that the year 5772 is the year of birth - the birth of Mashiah.  And similarly, the verse that is written about Rut when she gave birth to the ancestry of Mashiah, וַיִּתֵּן יְהוָה לָהּ הֵרָיוֹן, וַתֵּלֶד בֵּן [and the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son] in gematria is 772. And R' Moshe Sa'adon Shlit"a adds that תשע"ב [i.e. 5772] is Notrikon of תשעה באב [Tish'a Be'av], which is when the King Mashiah is to be born.

To the commenter posting as "Dov Bar-Leib", pick another alias. I do not allow people posting as already-known aliases. I find your using that alias geneivat da'at and just plain immoral.

Another one?! 1st of all there is an Isur to figure & declare keissim. 2nd our history shows the sad truth that when this is done & the "keiss" date comes & we/the world did not merit the Geula a BIG disaster comes instead. Also when people have been 'promised' a date & it goes by with zero, many fall into ye'ush/despair & fall & lose emunah/faith. The generation after the Ari-za"l had such an incident & the "failure" of the proposed date for geula resulted in an awful lot of Jews in Ssfat & Yerushalayim to leave Yahaduth & converted to xtianity (rahhmanah lesslan, rahhmanah lashezban).
One can say there is an opportunity, an opening, or something big in he works, but as ALL my teachers taught me, "He who gives a date for Geulah doesn't know truthfully, & he who knows doesn't tell."
We must keep hoping & believing every day in every way & do our best to prepare.

Y Sasportas,

As that is one school of thought, there is quite another school of thought that says the opposite to which I subscribe.

See this and this.

That said, the only life-changing decisions people should make from this prediction is to learn more Torah and do more Mitzvot and to come closer to Hashem.

This is really Dov this time. And the entering of Eretz Yisrael actually began with the death of Aharon on Rosh Chodesh Av 2487 when the last group of people from the Dor HaDeia did not die on Tisha B'Av that year. Also when Amalek, the King of Arad, attacked that Av, they only captured one maidservant. We then rose from the 33rd campsite, Hor HaHar to the 41st campsite, Arvot Moav in just 3 1/2 months. By the middle of Kislev 2488 we were already at Arvot Moav. That is seven campsites in 3 1/2 months, one campsite every two weeks! In that time Moshe sent emissaries to Ammon and Moav to pass through their territories which were rebuffed. He had previously sent two groups of emissaries to Edom who were both rebuffed, but that was at the 32nd campsite, Midbar Tzin and probably occurred right after Pesach 2487. Also at the 35th campsite, the poisonous snakes started to bite us. And Moshe erected the copper snake. Also in that three and a half month period were the wars against Sihon and Og which were wildly successful. Starting in Kislev, Balak started sending emissaries to Bilaam to curse us. He sent emissaries about three separate times. Because Balak was in Moav and Bilaam was up near the headwaters to the Tigris and the Euphrates, each group took about a week to get to Bilaam. Then Bilaam comes down loaded for bear on his she ass which took another week. So the attempted cursing took place around the 15th of Tevet. Then came the horrible incident of immorality with the daughters of Moav and Midian. This took about a day. Then came the war against Midian. That took about a week. and then two of Menashe's sons captured cities and territory in the Northern Golan. That took us to the end of Tevet. Then came Sefer Devarim starting on Rosh Chodesh Shvat until Zayin Adar. Then Moshe passes on, and we mourned him until Zayin Nisan. And then we prepared for three days to cross the Yarden on 10th of Nisan 2488. So the entrance to EY began on the previous Rosh Chodesh Av. Study Parshat Chukat from the death of Aharon to the end of the parsha to understand what may happen between Rosh Chodesh Av until about Chanukah time 5772.

I just clicked onto these comments and thought the first Devorah was me, but I couldn't remember writing it.... and it didn't sound like me - so I guess it's another one - there's a lot of us around....

Maybe there's two dov bar leibs ?
I know there's a dov bear... and I have a friend who keeps confusing DB and DBL.

Anyway........ if Moshiach isn't here by R"H Av 5771..... I think I"ll have to re-think all this blogging about him. He's taking way too long.

reminds me of a joke i heard.
Q: What do you get when you cross a Lubavitcher and a Yekke?
A: Mashiach who comes on time.

ah. that's different.

Now we have to be on the lookout for fake Moshiachs, fake prophets, AND fake Dov Bar Leibs.
