Dr. Kedar on Gog Umagog

Recently, on this stage we have dealt with the increasing tension between the Sunnis and the Shi’ites in the Middle East. The coalitions, which are hostile to each other, reflect this inter-ethnic tension: on one side is the Shi’ite coalition that comprises Iran, Iraq and Hizb’Allah, which support the bloody, Shi’a-aligned Alawite regime, and on the other side is the Sunni coalition whose members are Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as a few other countries who offer background support, principally Jordan and Egypt. The war of Gog the Shi’ite against Magog the Sunni has been in progress since March 2011 on the soil of Assyria, modern Syria.

Interesting, but is it backed up by Torah sources? I'm not sure.

By the way, Hashem1.net notes that there is an opinion that Gog and Magog are 2 separate nations (see the last few paragraphs here).

Israel will be attacked from the North, as per Yechezkel. He lists Iran as Persia in the coalition. I know it is tempting to indict B'nei Kedem as your enemy, but clearly, one that is a descendant of Reuven must repent of European Idolatry.

Is it possible Turkey with Nato will go after Syria, pulling in Russia, Iran and Hezbollaha? Could this be the war between Ismael and Edom?

The common denominator of these Muslim factions is that none have any use for us. It's best that they fight each other until they get their heads straight.
