Recent events remind me of another event that took place 30 years ago, when MBD (the singer, not the redeemer) wrote this protest song. Just change around a few lyrics and the same song is applicable today too.

Who is "yaak"? I'm a half-Sepharadi, half-Ashkenazi, Haredi Zionist. Maybe this time we should daven like we mean it.
Im getting sick of orthodox minyans I go to talking during davening . If young kids cant stop giggling and laughilng during davening please tell them to step out . Im sick of seing other faiths submissive and quite during davenings , sadly we could learn from them on this . When we talk during kadish we put a block betwen us and Hashem , and it makes davening into a useless ritual instead of maybe the most important mitzvah ,,, faith prayer with Hashem .

I believe that the song was partially helpful even though it wasn't the complete outcome we all hoped for. The Meha'a was registered in Shamayim and made a Roshem.
