Sharon, Bassi, and now Halutz

In last week’s Perasha, Parshat Shemot, we read that Moshe Rabbeinu is sent by Hashem to redeem the Jewish people. The very last statement Moshe is told before he leaves is:

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה בְּמִדְיָן, לֵךְ שֻׁב מִצְרָיִם: כִּי-מֵתוּ, כָּל-הָאֲנָשִׁים, הַמְבַקְשִׁים, אֶת-נַפְשֶׁךָ.

And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian: 'Go, return into Egypt; for all the men are dead that sought thy life.'

The gematria of כָּל-הָאֲנָשִׁים, הַמְבַקְשִׁים, אֶת-נַפְשֶׁךָ (lit. all the men that sought your soul) is 1804.

כל האנשים המבקשים את נפשך = 50 + 406 + 497 + 401 + 450 = 1804

Datan and Aviram, the Gemara in Nedarim 64b tells us, didn't die. They did, however, lose their possesions - the wording of the gemara is "שירדו מנכסיהן".

Who are the ones who are responsible for the Disengagement?

Among others: Ariel Sharon, Dan Halutz, and Yonatan Bassi. Let's take a look at the gematrias of their names.

דן חלוץ = 54 + 134 = 188
אריאל שרון = 242 + 556 = 798
יונתן בשיא = 516 + 313 = 829

188 + 798 + 829 = 1815

If you add up their names, you get 1815. Not quite 1804.

However, if we do a bit of maneuvering, we can come up with something. Let's remove the י from אריאל, which is not unprecendented (see Shemuel Bet 23:20) and remove the א from בשיא (since it's unused - as we do with חטא and אגוז on Rosh Hashana), that will give us 1804.

דן חלוץ = 54 + 134 = 188
אראל שרון = 232 + 556 = 788
יונתן בשי = 516 + 312 = 828

188 + 788 + 828 = 1804

What happened to these 3 people?

Ariel Sharon is in a coma, Yonatan Bassi was forced to leave his home, and Dan Halutz was forced to resign.

I think שירדו מנכסיהן applies to all three, don't you?
