Tamuz
Shofar.net brings down a nice idea about Rosh Hodesh Tamuz. It says that Rosh Hodesh Tamuz is 100 days before Yom Kippur, and that the word "תמוז", if you mix the letters, stands for זמני תשובה ממשמשים ובאים - which means that the time for Teshuva is quickly approaching.
In the U.S., when a new U.S. President starts his term in office, at the 100-day mark, the media talks about his progress up until that point. We should think in those terms as well. We are our own president. We are commander-in-chief of our own actions. On Rosh Hodesh Tamuz, we start our presidency. Will the Media-On-High think of us favorably on that awesome day 100 days from now?
