There is an answer, New York State like Illinois is now granting ketubot for faggot intercourse. According to the Talmud in Chullin this is as bad as selling human flesh (or body parts) in the market place. Yes, if you live in those places, IT CANNOT GET SPIRITUALLY WORSE!! The NY State Law was passed and signed by the Governor over a month ago. Response to it should have been immediate. Since you cannot even protest the law without being arrested, you have only one option. LEAVE those places. Yes, time to pick up and leave NY City, Monsey, and Chicago. Sorry frum Jews. You cannot co-exist with the spiritual environment in those places any more. True Mayor Bloomberg unlike Rahm Emmanuel was not mesader kiddushin at any of these marriage nuptuals. But he lies through his teeth on his company website about the state of the American economy. You cannot co-exist with these people any longer unless you are doing massive kiruv which some consider pikuach nefesh. Now places like Texas or Missouri are options. These states will never countenance giving ketubot to an abomination. But do you want to live in St. Louis, Houston, or Dallas, or do you want to live in Eretz Yisrael? But remaining in New York or Chicago or Boston or any of their instate suburbs are simply no longer options. You cannot even live amongst Jews who countenance and promote this abomination and are now giving it legal sanction. So please choose, but choose quickly where you want to go. HaShem has set before you life and death. Please choose life.

R' Dov,
1) Try to keep the language as clean as possible. I'd appreciate you not using the word you used "fa****" on my blog in the future.

2) You apparently agree with R' Levin if you are commenting on this post.

3) Illinois does not (yet) allow same-gender marriage - only civil unions.

You are right. From now on I will use the English translation for mishkav zakhar: "lying with a male" to describe the act. I took a neder years ago not to call them gays. The word gay, when I was growing up, was such a pleasant word until they came along and sullied it. I feel sorry for them individually, but why do they have to destroy civilization in the process of doing what they do as consenting adults behind closed doors. Yes, Tel Aviv wants to become the lying with males capital of the world behind San Francisco. But G-d's hashgacha here is so up front and personal, that this effort will fail miserably. But I will not use that other word on your website again. Sorry.

By the way, if it is just civil unions in Illinois, are you saying that Rahm Emmanuel was mesader kiddushin at all those civil unions several weeks or months ago, that those unions were not weddings? Did they get a certificate of civil unions when they exchanged vows, and Rahm pronounced them Man and Husband? What is the legal difference between a civil union and a marriage?

They apparently had some sort of ceremony, but it wasn't called a marriage. See here.

Here's the info about Illinois.

Here's what civil unions mean in general.

Ya'ak: The links that you sent me simply reconfirm what I have already read about the subject of Illinois marriage laws. Yes, in many places there are fewer rights and privileges for those who have civil unions as opposed to those who are married. Illinois is not one of those places. In Illinois a civil union is a marriage by another name. The legislators found a clever way of getting around an existing statute outlawing same sex marriages. They simply called it civil unions and proceeded to grant lying with males couples the exact same privileges as married couples. Don't fool yourself. Civil unions in Illinois are marriages, and now they have a contract which grants them all the rights and privileges of a married couple. In short there really is no difference between a civil union in Illinois and a same sex marriage in New York City/State or Massachusetts for that matter. Now I also see that New Jersey has the exact same deal as Illinois from 2007. Wow. So many Jews live in those places. It is downright dangerous.

Leave NY and then what? Move to Israel? Where not only the gay lifestyle is a big part of the economy, but where having an Israeli boyfriend is enough of a reason for the Ministry Interior to sign residence permits for Palestinian young males? If you really believe your own words, you have to get up and leave, and move to certain Arab countries (some, like Saudi Arabia, have very harsh laws but practice it anyway; but other Arab countries want nothing to do with this lifestyle, neither in public nor in private). Oh, wait, they don't have much sympathy for Jews either.

The key point is what is specifically in the Gemorah in Chullin: Is Israel giving away marriage or civil union licenses to men lying with men? This is not happening, and as long as Torah true Rabbanim are in charge of dispensing ketubot, there will be no same sex marriages or civil unions here. Yes, Israel does accept mixed marriages and civil unions including same sex civil unions performed in other countries. Cyprus for instance is the most common place for mixed marriages.

Divine Providence here is very palpable. One of the effects of the bombing of Tel Aviv in the near future from Northern Gaza where four yishuvim existed six years ago, will be a realization that all the major international homosexual organizations support Hamas and Hamas's control of Gaza. So when Israel finally has to go to war against Hamas, it will be fighting all the worldwide homosexual organizations too. This alone will explode the minds of Tel Avivans who want to expand the rights of men lying with men. In short, The machinery of Divine Providence will end all of these same sex charades. So the question here is "Does one want to come here and take his/her place amongst the klipot?" If you do not, go to Dallas, TX where there is a growing Torah community. The economy there is booming, and same sex charades will never be an issue in Texas. So you are safe on all counts in Texas. But if the dollar collapses in the near future, and Texas by that time has not seceded from the Union, you may be up a creek. The last place to be right now is New York or Mass. or all those states where same sex civil unions are simply another name for marriage.
