Zarqawi's Death at 2/3 Mark of War?
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (ימ"ש) was killed by U.S. Forces on June 8, 2006.
The U.S. invaded Afghanistan on October 7, 2001 (Hoshana Rabba, 5762 - it was October 8th in U.S. time).
The difference is 4-2/3 years.
4-2/3 years is exactly two-thirds of 7 years.
According to some (see here under the heading "War of Gog Umagog" and also mentioned in Arutz Sheva), the war of Gog Umagog started when the U.S. invaded Afghanistan, and is supposed to last 7 years.
What the significance is is not clear. It's just an interesting thought.

Edom rises to the 33rd level of purity which is 2/3 of the way to receiving the Torah. He cannot rise higher than that, for he serves G-d to make money. As a klal, he is not lishma in his avodah. Hor HaHar at the edge of Edom is the 33rd camp in the desert. It is where he is ultimitely defeated. That is, just as Greece is defeated at Chashmonah, the 25th camp in the desert, Edom is defeated at hod she'b'hod, the 33rd level of purity, 2/3 of the way to Sinai. We shall see how much longer Gog's victories continue. Time will tell.
Or it will lead to a full court press to divide Yerushalayim, now that all other opposition has been eliminated. Only Jews, some of us, stand in the way of a world whose purpose for serving G-d is to make money.

The Hebrew date 2/3 mark is really approximately June 18th-19th.
Time will definitely tell.
Your close R' Dov, but the destruction of Edom will already be in Etzion Gever and Kadesh. Although we are encamped at the border of Edom, the time has not yet come. We will move away to Chashmona and come back. HaMevin Yavin.
