Update on Sha'ar Harahamim

NRG has a new article that says that lawyer Nadav Ha'etzni and former MK Prof. Aryeh Eldad wrote a letter to PM Netanyahu demanding that he stop the planned work at Sha'ar Harahamim. They cite all the destruction the Wakf already did to the Har Habayit area and to antiquities buried in the earth there in the past and that this needs to be put to an end.
My personal feeling is that although they're correct about the past destruction the Wakf incurred on Har Habayit, they should let them complete this project - for obvious reasons.

What do they actually plan to do? What type of renovations? Does anyone really know? It's true that whatever they do there is desecration ... The Arabs mean no good. Surely they know our tradition. What do these Gates mean to them? Someone should find out what their plans are.
I was excited when I first heard this, however, maybe they plan destruction?
Butmaybe tampering with the Gates of HaShem will bring about an earthquake ... And maybe that will catapult the Geula and Mashiach's arrival ... to make them flee our Holy Mountain once and for all!
