Edom Before Hatzot, Yishmael Before Minha Gedola
Edom had their revolutions before Hatzot Hayom (12:00 noon) of the cosmic clock.
Yishmael is in the midst of their revolutions before Minha Gedola (12:30 PM) of the cosmic clock.
A possible explanation:
Edom is Eisav, who rivals Yaakov Avinu. Yaakov Avinu instituted Arvit, the evening prayer. Its power is at Hatzot Halaila (midnight). Edom became less extreme via their revolution, and they no longer wanted to confront Yaakov Avinu head-on as in the past. They therefore had their revolutions before Hatzot Hayom, which is the furthest you can get from Yaakov Avinu's power.
Yishmael, on the other hand, rivals Yitzhak Avinu. Yitzhak Avinu instituted Minha, the afternoon prayer. The earliest time one may pray Minha is at Minha Gedola (12:30 PM on an equinox day). The revolutions in the Arab world, from the looks of it, are making them more extreme, and they want to confront Yitzhak Avinu head-on more than in the past (see here).
May Hashem save us from both Edom's decreasing extremism and Yishmael's increasing extremism.

The holy Zohar Torah portion of Va'era page 32a states that Eretz Israel will not be conquered by Edom nor by Yishmael at the End of Days, so we have nothing to fear:
In the future the children of Yishmael will stir great wars in the world. And the children of Edom [the West] will gather against them, and make war with them, one on the sea, and one on the land, and one by Jerusalem; and each one will prevail over the other but the Holy land will not fall to the hands of Edom. At the same time, a nation from the end of the world will be awakened against wicked Rome.(Rome here is said to refer to the spiritual center of western civilization) and it will make war against her for three months, and many nations will gather there, and they will fall by her hand, until all the children of Edom will gather against her from all corners of the earth. And then G-d will awaken Himself against them, as it says, "a sacrificial slaughter for the Lord in Batzra", and it says, "to shake the corners of the Land". And after this, the children of Yishmael will be finished from the world. And all the supernal powers of the nations will be broken, and no power will remain above except for the power of Israel alone.
but wasn't that Zohar a reference to the Crusades?
What makes you think there won't be another revolution in the West? Maybe they aren't done yet.

Devash you seems to be happily waiting for a revolution in the us. That is not very nice to scare the Jews in Diaspora every chance you get. Love other Jews as you love yourself and be kind in your words as not to harm fellow Jews. What about Torah in all this? Didn't H"B said he Will gather us all from the four coners of the world....not everyone who can't go to Israel is a spoil. I have friends in Israel who can't find work for years and poverty is high and I'm a child of immigrants from morroco.what happens if olim can't find work to feed their children after the Israeli goverment stop helping after 7 months..homelessness in Israel......not everyone is rich and spoil. So don't be so judgmental of us fellow Jews even if you yourself made Aliya.
Anonymous, people yell fire to warn others not to get hurt, not because they enjoy the sight of seeing others get burned. Stop viewing your fellow Jew's motives through the prism of your own guilty conscience.

Devash....what guilt are you referring too? I have a clean MaTzpun. I am also realistic, I know that not all Jews can move to Israel. I know that you are trying to warn us all and know the dangers. As I said Jews that can get out do it right away. To those who can't leave in their own I say just have faith in H"B and our Torah. What is wrong with that? Does only your view counts? I only trust H"B. Sorry if I hurt your feelings or ego. That was not my intention as you are a fellow Jew. what I'm asking is that you don't make other Jews who have no way of leaving feel so scare or bad. I know many Jews who feel this way shall we all be quite and just agree with you? What does any of this have. To do with guilt maybe that is what you are feeling. Have a good shabbos..
The month of Nissan has the divine attribute of Chesed. Before true Chesed can emerge (i.e. the Chesed of the geula shlaima bimhaira byomanu) the "false" Chesed in the world must be cleaned out. (similar to the birth of Yishmael, the false Chesed had to be extracted from Avraham first..so that only true Chesed could be left in Avraham.)
This could explain the sudden energy in Yishmael during this time since Tu B'shvat (the transition and preparation for Nissan has started!!) After all, they were relatively quiet under Mubarak for 30 years..what changed?? Perhaps we are about to experience a very high energy Nissan this year?
