As I linked to in the previous post, the Mashiah Is Coming blog
asks what the heavenly message is with the Pope's doves being attacked by other birds after children next to the Pope released them.
My answer is that I really don't know.
However, if I were to venture a guess, I'd say that unlike the common thinking that doves represent "peace", I believe that the doves represent the Jewish people (as per
Berachot 53b and
Shabbat 49a,
130a). The Vatican has been making strides in the past few decades to put on a facade of loving the Jewish people and being as friendly as possible to us. In fact, the Pope
just had a Kosher lunch at the Vatican hotel and relations couldn't be better. This is represented by the freeing of the doves, which, even if unintended, shows the Church's superficial display of Jewish autonomy from our Xtian cousins.
Come along
a seagull and a crow and show the Vatican's true intentions for all to see. The white seagull attacking one of the doves perhaps represents the tendency of some Xtians to "love us to death". Intermarriage in the U.S. is now at 58% ל"ע. On the other hand, the black crow represents the traditional anti-Semitism we have endured from Xtians throughout the ages, as the article explains: "But the crow pecked repeatedly at the other dove." The Pope tried to display a message of peace and understanding, but his ruse was uncovered, and quickly. Just as Par'oh was unwilling to let the
women and children - and later
the animals - leave Egypt, the leader of Edom - despite his facade -
is not willing to part with his control over the Jews.
The other incident that just occurred in Rome was the
anti-Semitic act of sending pigs' heads to Rome's Great Synagogue, the Israeli Embassy, and a museum holding a Holocaust exhibition. Of course, the fourth beast in Daniel's vision was that of a pig, representing Edom, which is Rome. It is the pig that attempts to show the world how holy it is by spreading out its split hooves, telling the world, "Look at me! I'm Kosher!" At the same time, we know that the second of the two signs of a Kosher domesticated animal - that of chewing its cud - is absent from the pig. Its inside makes it as non-Kosher as a bird-of-prey while it continues to show its "Kosher" side to the world. This is what the Vatican has done since Vatican II.
We are warned to protect ourselves from both kinds of Xtians. As Yaakov Avinu
prayed, "הצילני נא מיד אחי מיד עשו - Deliver me, I pray Thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau". Whether Esav comes as a brother or as the wicked Esav, we pray that Hashem saves us from all of these encounters.
And a point that should not be lost on anyone reading this is that all this occurred in Rome, the seed of Xtianity.
The BBC article concludes: "It is not clear what happened to the doves that flew away." They're badly bruised, no doubt, but they survived, as the Jewish people always do, thanks to our Protector.
So, it seems that the message of the doves and that of the pigs are one and the same. It is that the mask of Xtianity is slowly being pulled off. When the mask is one day totally removed, the Pope, along with all Xtians will say, as if at the end of an episode of Scooby Doo, "...And I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling Jews!"
As the
uncensored Rambam says:
וכשיעמוד המלך המשיח באמת, ויצליח וירום ויינשא--מיד הם כולן חוזרין ויודעים ששקר נחלו אבותיהם, ושנביאיהם ואבותיהם הטעום
And when the real King Mashiah will arise, and he will be successful and will be lifted and raised up, immediately, they all [Xtians and Muslims] will retract and know that their ancestors inherited falsehood, and that their prophets and ancestors fooled them.
And when that happens, the tables will be turned:
The dove will overpower the sparrow-hawk,
as in King Solomon's throne, and the pig, which represents the Kelipa of Edom,
will be permissible to be eaten, thereby leading to the destruction of its Kelipa.
At that time, we will merit to see the
verse fulfilled:
וְעָלוּ מוֹשִׁעִים בְּהַר צִיּוֹן, לִשְׁפֹּט אֶת-הַר עֵשָׂו; וְהָיְתָה לַיהוָה, הַמְּלוּכָה.
And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.
May it happen speedily in our days.
